I feel like, on her own, Ragatha's sheer niceness would be suspicious. But when taken in context with Zooble's indifference, Caine's zaniness, and _especially_ Jax's chaos, she balances the dynamic out really well; it's a really good example of an ensemble cast done right!

One thing that I think is worth noting is that the hands that catch Pomni at the end include everyone EXCEPT Jax. (Kinger's can be seen below Ragatha's since some people missed that). Jax is the only one that doesn't stay for the funeral and is the only one who doesn't catch Pomni.

I think that basically confirms that he's one of the humans.

He did that in the pilot, too; when Jax said "I can still be hungry" despite doing very little work, Kinger corrected him by explaining how eating, drinking, and sleeping work in the digital world. When Jax sarcasically questions when he became such an expert, Kinger falls back into his loopiness and asks, "Expert on what?" It just seems to be a natural trait of his character to have moments of lucidity.

For me Caine is not the one "behind everything" on this show. Sure is the one who controls everything and that candy kingdom have him as God, but the thing is that Caine still live situations he doesn't like (like the thing bubble say or do). Jax is crazy and causes a lot of chaos, sometimes to the point where you're screaming "WTF" whenever he does so, but little moments like this hint that there's more to his character than he's letting on. Looking forward to any adventures in the future where the show focusses a little on him. There were a couple parts in this episode that definitely caught me off guard. But in a good way… First one was that conversation with Pomni and Gumigoo. This sounds ironic, but that scene felt so real. And raw. Gumigoo just questioning everything and Pomni trying to comfort him saying she knows how he feels And second was Kaufmo’s funeral. I mean I was REALLY caught off guard by that! Not to mention Jax during that part and how he couldn’t even be part of it. I was enthralled every second of this episode. It was so worth the wait and I absolutely cannot wait for more!!

I feel like Jax is gonna be my new favorite character. Yes, Ragatha, Pomni, Zooble, Gangle and Kinger are probably much better characters to be my favorite, since they...y'know, didn't probably wipe out an entire kingdom? Idk, i've been getting preetty attached to him. He is an a-hole, but still has emotions. I think he might be only hiding his true self and stopping himself from caring by being the way he is. I hope we get some backstory and development to him, even though one of the people working on this show said that they don't really like Jax, so i am not expecting much. 😂

I am so glad I am not the only one who noticed Jax looked sad for a couple frames. Something tells me he is going to be involved in a much deeper overarching plot. He acts all tough, doesn't care, aggressive etc, but he has the tiniest moments. It tells me its a mask to protect himself. I may be overreading it since this is only episode 2 and we have no idea what is coming, but its my theory and I am glad someone else caught it! I adore how the funeral made Pomni realize she isn't alone, and that they would care if she was getting abstracted.

I have a theory of the NPCs in TADC, what if instead of the NPCs being AI what if the NPCs are using faint memories and personalities of former Digital Circus Players and the reason Caine said Immersive is because hes able to somehow pick out the personality but not able to know how he was able to do it without fully creating it artificially. So he accidentally uses old players from the world, and the others dont even realize its their old colleagues/friends because of how different they seek to appear. Like GummyGoo with his existence, he questions everythiny including his own memories and he doesnt remember anything about his past, Just like our main cast! Who can't remember much of their human life after they subconsciously transfered their minds into the circus! But the amount of Eps and NPCs, there would be tons of old workers that succumbed to abstraction only to have parts of their souls being used as what GummyGoo said as Obstacles, meant to be beaten and forgotten. Yet none of the main cast forgotten their fallen friends, nor Pomni with GummyGoo. Caine is enigmatic...But we need to know more about this world to fully understand what is going on...But thats my theory

Maybe Caine is like GLADoS, an Artificial Intelligence so hardwired to their primary directive (GLADoS testing the Aperture tech and Caine creating fun adventures for players) that he’ll go to any lengths to maintain his function. what do you mean why caine does the adventures. it was said from the first episode, ragatha says the adventures keep their minds busy and stimulated. i don't know why people think the worst of caine the creator said caine is not evil he just doesn't understand human emotions. he is programmed to take care of people so he makes sure to entertain them as his directive to keep their mind from deteriorating. remember their minds are trapped so if he doesn't keep them active they could go crazy and Abstracted

Theory-Kinger was one of the original testers or developers of the game and saw how characters abstracted when they succumbed to hopelessness. He noticed how humans who had mental problems or psychological coping mechanisms actually seemed to last longer since that distracted them from the futility of their lives so he intentionally went over the top crazy to distract himself. When his head was in the bucket he was isolated and showed a bit more of his old personality without being bombarded by the simulated world.

I have a theory about kinger and ragata. When kinger said that he remembered the first time ragata arrived at the DC, ragata almost seems worried or nervous, not because kinger remebered but because she doesn't, she complety forgotten her first time in the DC. She says in ep 1 that people abstract because 'you forget who you are and why are you even alive, something terrible can happen'. She already is loosing her mind but kinger somehow doesn't despite being way more time than anyone. Maybe kinger has a really strong mind or maybe his madness is actually protecting his mind somehow.
