Brilliant! After 13.5 years of teaching, I am becoming a math specialist teacher for 2nd/3rd grades this year - this helps me dig in and make things more exciting for the kids as they learn, practice, stretch, and grow! This helps my 90-minute block seem effective and efficient and super organized!!!! Thank you!!!!!!

I am so glad I found you! You are clear and easy to follow. THANK YOU!! I am a new teacher. I will be starting my 2nd year and last year I STRUGGLED with teaching engaging math lessons. I am going to try out math centers this year.

This was fantastic! Thank you so much for clearly laying out what has worked for you. I learned why my centers were such a struggle last year, and now I'm excited to try something new. Thank you!!

I have been looking for a video like this for years. Im glad I watched your video. You really have made my life much easier by watching this video. I have already purchased the math centers. I will change the storage this year for sure to those pencil pouches and bins. Thanks

I want to say I LOVE YOU first off 😂 I am so thankful I found ur TpT even though I can’t afford to purchase centers yet but hoping someday soon 🙏🏼 and your KZbin channel! I moved to 4th grade Math & Science this year which was my dream & goal! With my students we decided to only do one rotation each day for a total of 5 stations a week BUT while they are in their daily stations we pull small guided Math groups. This way they do not miss much of stations or a complete station.

I don’t know if you’ll see this comment because I know this is an older video, but thank you so much for you awesome ideas! I love the idea of a recording book. I use my centers mostly for spiral review, and a few that are our current unit, so I’m thinking about making the recording book with just the month as the title instead of the unit. 😊

Thank you so much for your wonderful tips and ideas!! I am curious as to whether you give Math homework each day, especially since you only meet with groups every other day. I currently try to give daily reinforcement, but I need to meet with my struggling kiddos everyday to ensure understanding.

What would you suggest for 45 minute blocks? I can't steal time from anywhere else, because we are in middle school & I only teach Math. Each class is a different group of students. I've used "zones" in the past (but I had 72 min.) with a in-class flipped classroom incorporated into "zone" work. (Teacher table is a "zone" out of 4 zones) . . . ideas? HELP! This is the first time I have had such a short period of time to accomplish this. However, I feel teaching in zones is the BEST way to teach math, based on major success in the past.

Do we get the schedule templates with your centers purchase?

I realize that I'm writing this late in the game. Does this mean that you're taking 2 days for a lesson? Also, where can I get the information for the math journal? It would be so helpful. I get stuck with the groups, I've reworked them many times.

Thank you so much for this video Jamie! My district also uses Engage NY. What do you use from the curriculum for your mini lessons? Do you focus on the application question and the concept development? Thanks for your help!

I look at the script and focus it into a 20 min mini lesson and we spend about 10 min on the practice sheet, we do not finish it here, it is finished in small group.

Hello! I'm super interested in buying your centers for next year, but I teach a self-contained special education class. Most of my kids have a very low reading ability and might struggle with reading portions. I know the routine is fairly similar for all activities, but if there are words or word problems, I'm worried they won't be able to access it. Is there a ton of reading involved? I don't want to spend that much if my kids can't access it. Really hoping I can use these to make my math groups more meaningful for kids not working with me! Thank you so much!

Hi, Cori! Every grade level has a FREE version of our centers in printable and digital formats. You can download one to see how text heavy our centers are. The free versions all only include 3 centers, where all of our other skills for the math centers include 10. All of our math centers do include a Word Problem center which includes one word problem students need to read, solve and explain their answer. All of our digital math centers come with a "Read First" file that includes directions on how to add audio to the slides for students that struggle with reading. Linking that for you here! :) www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Geometry-FREE-Third-Grade-DIGITAL-Math-Centers-for-GOOGLE-Classroom-5813921
