Wow, how beautiful! I went to Nottingham somewhere around eight years ago but I don't remember these tram cars, they must have been installed recently. I love it when trams operate on their own track independently from the city traffic, it works much more effectively and can almost replace a metro service.

I only filmed the fast sections of the route because the road running sections are boring. The Nottingham tram has too many road sections that are painfully slow.

Great footage. Eventually I'm going to get the train from Mansfield, to Hucknall, then the tram to Nottingham. I'll be travelling back that way too.

On a serious note I have just noticed how unbelievably dangerous the fronts of those things are. No pedestrian safety equipment to speak of. If somebody slipped over in front of one of those they would go straight under, there would be no saving them. No handles to grab, no emergency stop pressure pad on the nose, nothing. And for TRAMS to not have this stuff (trams being expected to operate on city streets amongst and along side pedestrian traffic) this is unbelievable. Mind you this is the UK were talking about. A country that thinks it's a good idea to have live rails on the ground stuck straight to the side of the tracks delivering traction power to trains. So, um, good luck I guess.

The Incentro teams do have some flap under the front which I think is a safety things as well as to push things out of the way. The new tracks here are dangerous as the ones in market square are above the road surface and you can trip over them too easily.

What about doing the Manchester Metrolink, Blackpool Trams, Edinburgh Tram, London Tramlink (or Croydon Tramlink), West Midlands Metro (Birmingham) and Sheffield Supertram (including the Class 399 Tram-train). These trams in Nottingham are really nice, quick and I bet the seats are comfortable.

@@subwayexpress52 yeah true. He also hasn't shown much interest about the Sheffield Supertram, as well being disappointed with the new Tram Train extension. As for metrolink though, with the removal of the T68 trams, interest went downhill.

I even asked him what would he Change about metrolink on Discord, and he said to basically add some new train models in the fleet instead of the m5000s.

Hey! What did the guy said to the tram? "Not your ham, tram!" Nice video. It's okay not to surf it, because this tram uses AC current and surfing on it can be dangerous and will cause you to shock.

Whether the electricity is AC or DC makes no difference. The Voltage makes a difference due to the arc distance. I am too scared to surf on top as the wires come down low when going under some bridges. Also there is the horrid BTP who bully all train and tram surfers.
