That third Ipswich goal, only saw it once at the time but I can remember it clearly 35 years later, explains why those two Dutchmen are legends in that part of the world.

Only bettered by Ipswich's third goal in a League Cup replay at Norwich in Oct 1980. Used to have a video of it, but lost it. Hopefully one day it will emerge on here!

Still lost to Aberdeen 10 days later the UEFA Cup. Seriously tough they should have won a championship. They were a great team. Mariner never gets the credit he deserves

I was behind the goal with the other Ipswich fans. It was a wonderful time to be a supporter as we had so much confidence in the ability to score. As l remember things we often had less possession than opposing teams but did a lot more with it so that highlights give a false impression. I loved Stumpy Eric. Never seen another player like him
