This series was broadcasted on Dutch television in 1988 and it made a deep impression on me. Schubert's music will always be with me.

I first saw this in my teens on a German channel on sky. I immediately recognised it as a biopic on schubert. Thankyou so much for this upload which appears to be the full drama from beginning to end. It may appear largely uneventful to some but I believe it captures him and his life more accurately than any other dramatisation. But I can only guess really. He's the one composer I really wish I could have known. Andras schiff always said his music moved him the most. I understand schiff. If there was any composer who expressed the feelings of common men like me it was him.
