Crazy theory here: 1. The Adelson Family bought the Mavs from Mark Cuban with the intent to sway Texan politicians into legalizing gambling in Texas. 2. They used their profit from the Mavs to donate to politicians hoping that they give back the favor (which is legalizing gambling in Texas). 3. After the election, Texan politicians remain firm on not allowing the legalization of gambling in Texas which dismayed the Adelson family. 4. Now there plan is to relocate to Vegas but since the Mavs have a solid fanbase in Dallas, Adam Silver will most likely disapprove the idea 5. The Adelson family is intentionally trying to push away the fans in Dallas so that they can have a justifiable reason to move the franchise to Las Vegas.

No, you need a go to scorer to win a championship, Kyrie got locked up against the good defensive teams in last year’s playoffs (thunder/celtics). Now he’s the focal point he will be hounded and shut down, AD is amazing but he doesn’t have that ability to be the go to guy against the best teams. I don’t see them making it to the finals, I’d be shocked.

If the Mavs GM truly believes they have a better chance to win with AD then I can’t blame him for making that move. We gotta wait and see how it plays out though.
