I'm a native English speaker who doesn't speak a word of Hindi, and this is the best explanation of noun casing I've heard. Super helpful.

Nice lesson thank you so much . Just i want to clarify my doubt : Nominative Case: When in example is explained it is said that PRIYA BOUGHT THE FLOWERS. Here it is the hero of the action is PRIYA but If the sentence could have been DOG BROUGHT THE FLOWERS then what cases would have been??? Because you have mentioned while explaining that the doer of the action is PRIYA and you mentioned only the human ( INSAAN) can do the action. So while you mentioed this just got a confusion (Because the rule indicates CASES is to find out the position of the NOUNS:). therfore what could be the answer... Thank you.

The accusative case is like the direct object and the dative case is like the indirect object?
@samwallaceart288

"Mom made me breakfast," can be shortened to "Mom made breakfast" and it won't change what "Mom" is doing. The point of the sentence is that "Mom" (subject noun) made "breakfast" (object noun). Whether mom makes breakfast for "me" or "dad" or "my brother" is just extra detail to the sentence, so is the (indirect object)

The way I think of it is Subject = "The one _doing_ the action", Object = "the one that the action is _happening to"._ *The horse* (subject noun) *kicked* (verb) *the boy* (object noun)
