ये example आपके comment में से ही लिया है और मैं समझ रहा हु वह क्या पूछना चाहता है लेकिन वह question सही नही पूछ पाया है : this question related to Subordinate Clauses with . Sir please question पर ध्यान दीजिएगा example तो सिर्फ question समझने केलिए है Question:----) Dependent clause में "there" ki meaning बदलता रहा है क्या जैसे ये sentence जो है As:-- There is my friend. यहां पर "THERE" location or place show कर रहा है अगर हम same Sentence dependent clause में लिख दिया जाए As:- This is the time when "THERE" is my friend. क्या यहां subordinate clauses होने के कारण THERE ki meaning बदल के dummy pronoun की हो जाती है?

Just remember, usually, the adverb 'there' comes after the subject and in the middle or at the end of a sentence but the dummy 'There' comes before the subject and at the start of a sentence. The dummy 'There' is not used for specific nouns. In your example, the subject 'my friend' is a specific noun, hence the adverb 'there' should not come before it in a sentence unless it is an exclamation. Hope this helps!

Your complex sentence "This is....my friend." is incorrect because you have used 'my friend' after the dummy 'there' in the subordinate clause. But if you say, "That is the time when there is no friend in your life.", your sentence will be right. However, your first sentence is correct because there is inversion of adverb 'there' due to exclamation. The subordinate clause cannot be exclamatory.

@@GrammarClassजब मैंने ये Question देखा था तब तक आपने reply नही किया था तब मैने किसी से पूछा तो तो उहोंने ये answer दिया कभी कभी recheck कर लेना चाहिए इसीलिए आपको comment किया है In a subordinate clause, the function of "there" does change. First, let's look at: "There is my friend." Here, the usage of "there" is to indicate a place or location. In this sentence, "there" functions as a pronoun that points to a place, and it is showing the location of "my friend." Now, let's examine: "This is the time when 'there' is my friend." Here, the sentence starts with "This is the time," which indicates a specific point in time. The part "when 'there' is my friend" is a subordinate clause that complements the sentence "This is the time." It completes the meaning of the main clause. So, in this case, the function of "there" changes. It no longer points to a place but acts as a "DUMMY" pronoun within the subordinate clause that indicates a particular time event. It can be thought of as a "dummy pronoun" because it is used in dependent clause and doesn't carry a specific meaning मुझे इस answer का logic wrong लग रहा है क्योंकि इन्होंने there को dummy pronoun बताया है इस SENTENCE में THIS IS THE TIME WHEN "THERE IS MY FRIEND". sentence को भी सही कहा है| Sir please कुछ बताई ये answer correct या incorrect है?

@@vikasmaurya549 As said earlier, in a subordinate clause the dummy 'there' is used for non-specific nouns but 'my friend' is a specific noun, hence, this sentence should be ideally written as 'This is....when...my friend is there.' Hope this helps.
