Wow a Saturday night show with literally a 6 second announcement from the announcer and then straight into the show. In today's world you'd get the announcer waffling on about what's coming on later and tomorrow and then finally announcing the show that's about to come on.... then you'd get an annoying sponsorship advert for whoever is sponsoring the show.... then you'd get a preview of "coming up on tonight's blind date".... and then FINALLY theme music would start. I miss how much simpler and more relaxing it was to watch tv when you weren't bombarded with information all the time.

No nitpicking either and judging someone because they are different. Today we have dating sites and social media to meet someone special, yet they are utterly useless unless you happen to stand out. Too much competition where, if you are really just an average bloke (doesn't matter for women as men will go for anyone) with not much to offer, ie don't have some 4 figure salary in a fancy job, your interests don't consist of weekends away backpacking, sky diving or whatever, you haven't been to Peru or some other far flung remote part of the world, don't drive a fancy car (or don't drive at all, which I've heard is a big turn off with women), and whatever else is on their tick list, then you really don't stand a chance. That's before looks, so now if you don't have a beard and tattoos all over your arms and legs and aren't over 6 ft tall, then you're chances of getting a reply are slim.

The woman are so feminine, the 80's 90's so sweet, men clean shaven, kind, caring, real gentlemen. Growing up back then was so much fun everyone go along, people could take a joke and people were not serious it was simple. You didn't need a lot of money to have a good time. Feels like a different world. People are so aggressive nowadays. Technology has destroyed us socially. It was great back then people didn't have mobile phones. It's a serious problem because mobiles are keeping people so busy that in worst cases people are living as strangers in homes glued to the addictive devices. If nothing is done and fast (this is an emergency) earth will be so lonely people will forget their very purpose for existence.
