Mortgage rates are fine. Save up and do a 15 yr at most. It’s home PRICES that are ridiculous.

I've been paying 7% since buying Aug 2023. It's no fun at all having to steal money from savings practically every month instead of adding to it. As you know that first year is brutal with fix-ups and repairs, after depleting everything to get a down payment. Hoping to break even next year. Surprisingly I would have qualified for more house, too.

Absolutely nothing about your post makes any sense. People who have to "steal from their savings" to make their payments don't get approved for mortgages. And why didn't you refinance when rates fell below 6 a couple months ago? BS.

WOW, we've it a million active listings. We're getting very close to the pre pandemic inventory numbers. CT, WV, IL, and NY, states with low inventory, it is only a matter of time that they start climbing and giving much relief to future home buyers.
