2 car garage talk is a little extra motivation. Currently I'm finishing up bodywork on a 68 Camaro convertible and then I'll paint it. Also have a 66 Mustang I'm restoring the chassis/drivetrain on. All in my 600sq ft 2 car garage. I'm a 16yr professional painter/bodyguy/metalworker and quit my job last July to be a stay at home dad and side hustler.

I really appreciate this video doug! My third gen was totaled in 21 due to a guy going on a yellow light. I had owned it since 17 and built it through covid. The day it was totaled i had 600 miles on it since complete rebuild including ls swap. Since then i bought another and am trying to build what my goal was from the beginning. It is hard to COMEBACK from these things. Thanks for the motivation!

For a drag and drive car and doing a dual fuel system would it be useful to keep the direct injection system for the low hp fuel system. Then keeping the intake cleaner for the other system. Great build coming along too!
@Sharkey_t Жыл бұрын
id think it would add another level of complexity thats really not needed. you still need a "low pressure" fuel pump and regulator (still 60psi) to feed the high pressure pump to feed the injectors. add in the tuning complexity, on top of only one or 2 ecm options available to run them. if you have a failure of any of the components on the road its going to be harder to track down the uncommon stuff. direct injection has its benefits, but not at this level.

Man I have missed this gorgeous Nova Doug! Did I hear you say the LT heads are only 4 bolt? Will those hold head gaskets at the boost/power levels you are going to be running?
@MotionRaceworksOfficial Жыл бұрын
They are only 4 bolt but they’re 12mm studs (1/2” ish), they just don’t have head gasket sealing issues
@danmyers9372 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the reply Doug! When I heard 4 bolt heads I thought of the stock LS which we all know has major head gasket issues at high (2000+) HP levels. I have no experience with the LT’s.
