Ah, my old /5 toaster with the R100 in it. Sacrilege, sure, but I used to waste thems fancy, new GSXRs on the SF streets. (Maybe it was skill, afterall.) Traded for a fresh, restored '79 Bonne which came apart, nut by bolt, 1 at a time, but oh, how I loved her. If that /5 is for sale, um, I....

I just found your site. Looks like a great shop. I own 3 vintage bikes and do most of the work on them but sometimes the job is a little to big or needs special tools. I wish you guys were closer. You wouldn't have a sister shop closer to NW New Jersey, would you? 🙂

So many cool bikes. I agree with you, that 66 Bonneville orange creamsicle paint job has always been one of my favorites. What advantages do you get from the Mikuni carb on an old Triumph? You mentioned Avon tires... I thought they went out of business a year or two ago.

@@daveco1270 the Mikuni is a little better behaved/smoother at low throttle openings and idle. Nothing beats an Amal for WOT! Avon is still around, but they've closed their UK factory and reduced their product line. Still a great tire, but sadly we have to use them less now.
