Can you save sounds or switch from sound to sound quickly during live performance? Can you make like a set list or something?

At 15:48 where he says you can bring in guitar or whatever on the line-in and "warm it up" with the filter, you can't on mine. What am I doing wrong? Or is he mistaken?

Sooo, how do I make this work with FL Studio? do I NEED the midi cables? If so, okay, but I seem to have it working with the MIDI Out plugin, but it plays the other instrument beside the the JD XI, how can I get this to work? Also... I want to be able to do this kind of stuff, so hard.

You sold me on it. Please show us some videos on how it interacts with software like Ableton or its own plugin

The Roland TR 8 can record directly to your DAW by USB separating each drum part for better production tweaking, but at 14:51 in this video, it shows only a single track for all the sounds of the JD XI. I thought we could separate the synth sounds in different tracks in a DAW from the JD XI, and maybe the drums could at least have a track itself (but I would prefer to have everything separeted like the TR 8). Recording all the sounds of the JD XI in a single track is simply a deal breaker, it's very disappointing, because I was expecting to have the same workflow and production abilities from the TR 8, and having all the sounds separated. Can you please confirm if the only way of recording by USB in the JD XI is using a single track in your DAW?

pgdantas That's a very good question, and something we've been wondering ourselves since we shot this video! We contacted Roland and got this answer: 'The JD-Xi only does the master output over USB. It currently does not separate the parts over USB.'

Nova Musik Spot on, guys! Thanks a lot! Well, not buying this synth at the moment , but still hoping for maybe a firmware update allowing to record in multi track, who knows?

The jd-xi arpeggio doesnt trigger using external keyboards ! Roland we need an update thats utterly ridiculous , tiny frail keys so naturally people will want to use a nice midi full size keyboard and the jd-xi as a sound module , yet you left this basic feature out of its design . Come on ! Give us a firmware update that enables arpeggiator via standard midi keyboards please . That should already be included for the price of these and the cheap key board design on the jd-xi - Pathetic , considering selling mine because of these issues .

best jdxi demo video I've seen great job! I have a beginners question. Can I use just regular non-vocoder vocals on this unit? And if yes dies it still drop out the analog like the vocoder does? Thanks!

Both JD Xi and JD XA have a same digital synth engine? Any difference between two synths?
