A similar wow happened in the 1980's when Serbia (YU) and Romania became the only Eastern European countries to win the European Champions League in soccer . Big big victories that only a decade earlier were thought of as impossible dreams.

Of course, what happened in the 90's was that most top talent fled these countries for better opportunities in the west, so they have been in rebuilding mode ever since.

Djokovic started out being pretty good, and a heck of an entertainer with him mimicking Nadal etal....but then Federer and Nadal were at another level...then he discovered that he had more levels. How did he do this? No one has a clue. McEnroe stated years ago: Where is this tennis coming from? How did he get this good? All three of them are a treat...and I thought Nadal would be done with injuries by his late 20s...the way he plays...but he's found a way to control his aggression and let his body heal etc...I can't believe that what we are being treated to sometimes. I'm pretty sure we are being spoiled by this era.
@reebul87685 жыл бұрын
@@wreckim Apparently after Djokovic lost to Tsonga in early 2000's he changed his diet. Then after a couple of years he changed to a gluten free diet and his level of tennis went up again. Then after that, he went to a plant based diet. He's made a documentary about this, i have to see it lool.
