Novak Djokovic Forehand Slow Motion. Is it better than Nadal or Federer?
Novak Djokovic Australian Open 2020 campaign came to a successful end as he lifted the title defeating Dominc Thiem in the final. Djokovic has played with great confidence and his game has improved dramatically over the years. One stroke in particular has brought him many victories on the ATP Tour. Djokovic forehand technique allows him to play with variety and precision.
Novak Djokovic Tennis Forehand has become a real weapon as he is able to dominate players with his Forehand Power and Forehand Topspin. Djokovic forehand grip is western and he is able to generate a fast racquet head speed and play with alot of spin, similar to Nadal he often plays the buggy whip technique which can be observed in this video.
How does his forehand compare to other players?

Djokovic’s strokes are perfectly...textbook. If you had to give a technical lesson you’d use him. Federer has an elegant touch and Rafa electric. No matter the type of forehand he pretty sets himself up the exact same way. A freeze gram of his “ready” moment right before hitting is the same almost each time.

Main reason he’s become greatest match player of all time- extraordinary capacity of building on great natural talent and ever improve on his shots and game. Forehand for example, initially not as great as backhand (his most natural and intuitive shot) but he put his mind into it and developed into another superb weapon, same level as the BH: SOLID AS A ROCK. His serve almost the same thing! Novak isn’t just a great player and champion; he’s very VERY intelligent.

Interesting. The arm is bent a bit, somewhere between Federer's straight arm and Kyrgios's bent one, but it's essentially quite similar in terms of the front stance, the torso twisting for the windup. It's more similar to Nadal and Kyrgios, with the racquet doing a swivel-and-whip action to hit the ball, something that generates a lot of acceleration. Nadal and Kyrgios's racquet faces are very different however - Nadal's being bolt upright, Kyrgios's being flat and level with the ground. Djokovic's is in between, about 45 degrees. Nadal, Federer, Kyrgios and Djokovic all hold the racquet by the throat with their other hand for the backswing. Nadal does a fair length. Not sure if that makes a difference, but it means less stress on the arm over time.

Actually, they are all good and it depends on their footwork. We have to consider the footwork to get in position, striking the ball with power/speed, and accuracy. This will represent the forehand side of a tennis player and Agassi won't even make the top 10. Just as I type, I can think of a few players. Del Potro, Soldering, Berdych, Marat Safin, and of course, Rafa, Roger, and Novak are the all-around best. Dominic Thiem has the best forehand now. Racket technology has a lot to do with speed and power.
