Actually, he can win French as well. This time, the conditions and scheduling was terrible. He had to play on continuous days before losing to Thiem as well. So, don't count him out at French. After all, he had defeated Nadal at French some years back (and Nadal was playing injury free that year). When he is at his best, no one can defeat Novak, irrespective of surface. He quietly knows that inside and brings out the right ammo at the right times, depending on the opponent and occasion.
