Nishesh just has a way of playing that cannot be taught. Ultra high tennis IQ, good decision making and point strategy, rarely over hits and just constructs the point in a very methodical manner. We will absolutely see more of this kid in the future, I believe he could go quite far. What more can I say about Novak? Young gun vs the master of tennis and of course he shows us how this ends every time, age is just a number for this guy and that alone is incredible.

@@xtaf82 He just makes smart decisions with his shots and doesn't over do anything when he doesn't need to. Sure there were times when he blasted returns and took chances, but he's just able to produce a variety of shots which keeps his opponent unsettled while also having good footwork/stability (this is high tennis iq).

I thought Basavareddy played great up until 4-3 in the 2nd set, he really took it to Djokovic and had him on edge, however he covered almost twice as much court as Djokovic up until that point. Unsurprisingly, the cramps then set in and it was rather straightforward for Djokovic once he won the 2nd set. Remember when Djokovic lost set set 1 in 2021 Wimbledon to a player in his first ever GS? It doesn’t mean all that much. His opponent was playing amazing

@@Mark-ut5oq We can't ignore the fact that it's been 4 years since 2021. Djoko is 37 now and he looks vulnerable. I'm saying this as a big Djoko fan, he needs to play better next round and beyond to get fast wins and save his legs

I would love for Basava to work hard on his fitness. He has got the skill but fitness is where most people lose out to champion material like Djokovic. Very fresh to see Basava’s game and he also has a bit of Nadal’s movement on forehand.

It is sad to see that Novak does not have that ability to hit rocket winners on his groundstrokes anymore. In his prime, he was hitting so powerful. If you don't know what I am talking about, see his match against Nadal in 2016 Doha Final. He blasted Nadal away. I guess father time is unbeatable...

I mean he will be 38 later this year. That's grandpa age for tennis. The fact that he is still competing and winning is good enough. I honestly doubt he will win the AO this year considering we have Sinner and Alcaraz in the mix BUT you never rule Djoker out.
