How can anyone find their matches boring?? The intensity of their rallies is always super high, for me its way more interesting than watching the same 3 shot rallies time and time again

@jay_kulina4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, don't judge from these highlights alone like a commoner. They've had at least 8(that i can remember) extremely boring matches in their rivalry. Not lobsided or anything, just plain boring af, where both were playing passive and waiting for the UE. Especially Murray with his mediocre fh... still don't understand why he was choosing to be so passive with it throughout his career. His fh on the run is brilliant. His average fh though, well...NOT.
@Chris-xc4rv4 жыл бұрын
@@jay_kulina why didn't he use his net game more often? He needed to shorten the points and throw something in extra for them to think about. The only time he ever really beat them is when he plays an entire match being aggressive, which is difficult for him because he dislikes errors so much.
@monstermichaeltoad57054 жыл бұрын
Murray was always a tougher opponent for in form peak Djokovic compared to Federer and Nadal especially in the slams. That's not me saying Murray is better then Fedal, it's just that Novak has to outgrind Murray since he can't attack his backhand and use the same patterns he developed against Fedal. If Fedal's forehands are having a superb day they may be able to outplay Novak for a set, or two, or maybe a whole match, but with Murray it is always a physical grind from the first point, even if Nole wins in straight sets.
@monstermichaeltoad57054 жыл бұрын
@@jay_kulina its his technique ceiling. On the run it's easier for him to generate rotation and transfer momentum into the shot. you're right though, every time he has point advantage against Nole his rally FH is too weak to maintain that against Nole's goat defense. but it's hard to fix what brought you to the top of the game though. look at gulbis and how changing his forehand was a disaster, or even nole when todd martin fucked his serve in 2009 n 2010.
@johnhawk41624 жыл бұрын
Best part about these rallies is you never really know who is going to win the point. Normally you’d go for the guy on the attack but these two are such defenders that even well timed/places attacks are beaten by an indomitable defense

I miss the aggressive Murray. Most of the matches he won against Djokovic are because he played aggressive (Rom 2016, Wimbledon 2013). Their defensive skills and Nadal's are the very best in the Open Era. Andy Murray is a legend to us Scots. Wimbledon 2013, was a true 'Jamaican Bobsleigh' moment for us. He was never fully accepted throughout Britain (although true tennis fans could see past the prejudice the bbc and their ilk continued to throw at him) Andy Murray went on to become the first Scottish (and British) Grand Slam, and Wimbledon winner in the modern era. A dream for Scottish (and non prejudice British people) It was a great summer's day in 2013. The weather was perfect (it reminded me of those hot, dry Wimbledons watching Borg and Connors when I was a kid) Andy Murray, Wimbledon Champion. History was made. I realise Murray hasn't achieved the same amount of Grand Slams as his legendary counterparts; but he achieved more than us Scots could ever possibly imagine: .. 2 home Grand Slams (3 in total) .. 2 Olympic gold medals. .. Davis Cup As a Scotsman, Andy Murray was a fish out of water.. We don't play tennis in Scotland. Murray worked hard to get in shape; he moved to Spain at a young age. He fought hard to achieve what he achieved. So please, don't compare Andy Murray to the top 3. But appreciate these special moments where he competed spectacularly against the greatest tennis players of all time. Thanks Andy Murray!
