There's always the questions about what the climate measures are going to cost (electric vehicles etc.) but never any talk about the cost of the climate problems now and in the future. What is the cost of the sewerage in the rivers now and if this continues into the future? I am an immigrant in the UK and I have lived, studied and worked in the UK for most of my life now. I have to say, this Farage guy makes sense. The common person in the UK with an average salary (£35k-£50k) is really really struggling to live beyond just affording the basic minimum. The rent is the key problem and mortgages are unaffordable. Salaries are stagnating while bills are rocketing. We need change. Real change. And we don’t need change to support the top 1%. We need change to support the bottom 99%.

Greens won hands down 🌿first answer = first applause & Ramsey was good at addressing question authentically. He even kept Bruce's nit-picking on track to broader national relevance. Was much more in tune with what people care about. Food security, warmer homes, cheaper energy, infrastructure, realistic affordability etc. Farage wasted too much time defended himself and his new political company, harking back to bygone era and the usually othering of pointing the blame elsewhere. He even blamed the NHS for medical shortages & not Brexit. Unlike Reform, the Green have been steadily building base over a number of years.

I live in an area that is 99'9% white British. My wife had to attend the nearest hospital (Furness General) for emergency treatment. The ambulance waiting time was estimated to be 3 hours so I took my wife in our car. Every one of the 7 different medical personnel that my wife had been treated and received advice from was dark-skinned and English was not their first language. Each one of those individuals provided a very caring and professional service. I can't imagine what state the NHS in that hospital would be in without those particular migrants.

Nobody is asking for those migrants to disappear. If every migrant was an NHS doctor or nurse then we wouldn't have a waiting list problem, would we? Those vacancies aren't available, nor is there accommodation enough to house an additional 1.2 million people per year. Immigration at *this* scale is unsustainable. That's the argument. It's a matter of scale.

I’m sick and tired of hearing poli saying that we are more likely to be treated by immigrants working in the nhs than meeting them in the queue for services. The whole world is experiencing a shortage of health care workers and we need to stop this continual poaching from each other which is out of control. What NEVER seems to get to considered is that not all overseas health qualifications are actually comparable. Competencies need careful cross referencing with uk equivalent to ensure standards are met. The standards are different countries. Given that it’s not essential to have any qualifications to work in social care and training is up the employer the sit-ups ares the life out of me. There is high incidence of abuse in both aged care and disability . The elderly and people with disabilities deserve to be supported by workers with the relevant skills and knowledge which are completely underestimated especially given people are living with more complex conditions and needs.

Your comment about Nigel farage saying he does not want to let people in, in answer to someone asking for asylum is very misleading. Nigel Farage has said many times that he want to reduce legal migration for long enough to let our infrastructure catch up. His actual answer was he wanted to be treated the same as 500,000 people have been treated in recent years that have applied for asylum the lawful way and been accepted. People crossing the sea in boats throwing away their papers and anything to identify them simply put is not legal migration or a lawful attempt to seek asylum.

@@jackieisseri2967 You mean no question is too tough for Farage to dodge or twist the truth with his answer. Someone needs to ask him about his video claiming he might have to leave the UK due to being unable to access banking services, despite the fact that he'd only fallen below the minimum threshold (£3 million?) for banking with Coutts and had been offered another account within the NatWest group due to it being illegal to refuse basic banking services to UK citizens.

You might want to look up how many countries are part of the refugee convention. Even some of the famously conservative and human rights "lite" Arab states take in refugees. Here's an old lie of Farage's debunked: Farage also said Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain refused to take a single refugee or displaced person from Syria, when in fact there are actually 2-3million Syrians in the Gulf countries, many of whom arrived when the war began and are no therefore included in UNHCR statistics. The Saudi government has, since the conflict began in 2011, hosted 2.5million refugees and has given permanent residency to hundreds of thousands of Syrians.

@@WAEVOICE The Syrian civil war is an ongoing multi-sided conflict in Syria involving various state-sponsored and non-state actors. In March 2011, popular discontent with the rule of Bashar al-Assad triggered large-scale protests and pro-democracy rallies across Syria, as part of the wider Arab Spring protests in the region. After months of crackdown by the government's security apparatus, various armed rebel groups such as the Free Syrian Army began forming across the country, marking the beginning of the Syrian insurgency. By mid-2012, the crisis had escalated into a full-blown civil war. Care to contradict?
