Great video. I just bought a Novation Circuit from Facebook Market Place. The seller said it was partically new & upgraded to the newer Circuit & sold it to me for £120 fully boxed...Happy days.

Thank you Mark. Your video was very helpful and very well presented. I've already put a deposit down for a Novation Circuit after I an in-store demonstration but I've never had a drum machine before. So I'm very new to it.

I like that it's hands on and less menu diving. But also complex. Isn't it hard to learn to use it well? Seems to be a lot to memorize

I find that it really could use a "Reset" button for starting over, after you've experimented around with it. Even without saving it, it picks up up where you left off last time you turned it off. You have to unplug it to remove previous settings
@vuilgatmusic73335 жыл бұрын
St8kout If the session you use it blank, you can retap the selected “session” to clear all. I normally delete everything from the pattern page. I just “clear” all the bars in “patterns” so I can still use the same synths and drums I selected.

Easy to use except for the synth With unmarked pads it’s hard to stay on track with the notes Not like a Midi keyboard any suggestions would help Thanks

can I also extract samles from f.e. disco records and than edit them into a new record like Daft Punk used to do? Or do I need other hardware (and maybe software) for it?

Want to note that on my product, I cannot stay in live view unless I continue to hold the note button while I play on the four pad view. Otherwise it automatically goes back into note view.

Yeah. You can import real drum samples. Than record them so they can sound more human not step sequence them.

How can I connect my novation circuit and the Launchkey mk3 mini ? I've been trying with midi cables and trs but I don't get any sound. someoe can help me please :)
@johnyboii124 жыл бұрын
you have to "repatch" your cable, cause this two devices use different midi standard ("A" and "B") - so the tip of minijack on one end have to be connected with the ring of the other.

Does this have ready made beats, say rock, jazz with variations and fills - like you have on some drum machines and keyboard workstations? ie acoustic sounding beats that you can perform/sing along to?

@kamal19682106 жыл бұрын
Yes
@FuZZbaLLbee5 жыл бұрын
Yes, but if you have a computer, you can export and import samples and patches, and these can even be bought, to make your circuit sound different. Since the Circuit also sends midi, you can also use it to controle a VST or otter device
@st8kout9615 жыл бұрын
Yep. With headphones or powered speakers you're good to go. It has it's own little speaker but it's a bit useless.

seems very limiting. Only two synth voices? Anyone remembers kaossilator? You could stack as many synths as you wanted...
@wifoutteef4 жыл бұрын
The Kaossilator might’ve had infinite layers, but it had no editing, no quantization, no visual of the pattern. It’s a trade off where I heavily prefer the circuit personally

Honestly the surface of the circuit is a piece of shit. The workflow is awful and I had to fucking look up VIDEOS to find how to DELETE a note. I am using analog gear for 10 years now but something as stupid as this just makes me angry.
