Hi, I bought that keyboard used and I was playing some sounds that i found interesting, but I'm not sure they were factory sounds, I'm sorry for it! I think the nice part of a synth like this is to try to design your own sounds from an idea that you have in mind :-)

What kind of synth engine is in the KS4? VA? PCM? Analog? How many oscillators? How much polyphony? Sorry all the questions, but I never ever heard or seen this synth before... 😮😮😮 Oh and beautiful rendition of Little Wing !?!?

Thank you very much! It is a virtual analog synth, I don't know about the polyphony, I remember it has 4 parts poly timbral, It is a very nice instrument very intuitive and expressive, the only thing that I don't like to much about this synth is the keyboard, to light for my point of view. And yes the old little wing is always a pleasure to play! Have a great day! Damiano

nice demo, great chords! in your opinion is the ks4's sound fairly different than that of the x station? I know this is an old video but I couldn't find much info online about these synths, or at least good demos like this one haha Edit: just realised you have a demo of the x station on your channel right next to this one, my bad. Would still like to hear your opinion having used the two synths...

Hi there! Sorry I didn't see your comment before, well I'm not so expert but I think that the ks4 is a kind of x station but with the ks4 you can have 4 different sounds in split or in layer. And this is a good thing!

Ciao Augusto, grazie per il tuo commento :-) Entrambi sono molto facili da usare e mi sembrano simili a livello di generazione sonora, la cosa che mi piace del ks4 è la possibilità di suonare fino a 4 patches contemporaneamente oppure in split e la presenza del vocoder, mentre la cosa bella del X-Station è che può essere usata anche come scheda audio usb con 2 ingressi microfonici. In generale per come sono organizzati i controlli sul suono la KS4 la trovo più comoda per modificare i suoni in tempo reale, ma probabilmente è solo un fatto di abitudine, in entrambi i casi ho dovuto fare una bella pulizia dei contatti per farle funzionare al meglio. Spero di averti dato qualche info utile, buona musica!!
