Launch Control XL works well when midi mapped to Zwobot (Max4Live) video effects program for anyone wondering about live performance with vid warping on the fly. No more laptop hobbit posture.

what is the midi resolution of this controler ? can it perform 14 bits midi ?

Do I have to use the knobs with the return tracks? If I have an effect rack on a certain channel can I map the knobs to control parameters on those effects, or would I have to use sends?

+D-nasty The knobs control the sends in the factory template. You can control any parameter you want with the knobs using user templates. Cheers.

Hello I would like to use the launch conrol with tractor, have a xone k2 with sound card. Do you need a soundcard for the launch control? Or could I run it over the xone k2?

This is a cool device except for ONe annoying fault. I use way more than 8 tracks and always use the zoom out view to jump to my next 8 tracks. I was disappointed to learn that this device does not have "red box support", meaning that instead of jumping to the next 8 tracs for the Launch Control, I have to move one track at a time?? Seriously?? I could see using a clumsy solution like that for a cheap no-name controller. But this is supposed to be "seamless support" from a device that is a blood relative!!! . I hear there's a li'l script I can cop from someone that might handle it. But Come on, Novation, you can do better than this. Also, "out of the box", my track buttons don't light up. Another grand promise unfulfilled...
