Zenistar is also probably the reason Blast got nerfed into oblivion as old Blast knocked enemies down on status, so blast Zenistar was an amazing tool to CC an area for missions like Interception.

Ferrox/Tenet Ferrox these days is the easier to use "trap' weapon, crowd controlling and debuffing enemies for 30 seconds. Ive tried to use zenistar somewhat recently but i feel it needs a riven mod to help stuff utility mods to help this thing gain combo. Or use melee crescendo i guess, but good luck getting that maxed so you can stack the base combo in a reasonable time. Also another darth fact, you used to be able to use the bubbles of the mutalist quanta to get negative blue crits with this weapon. I have not tested this in a very long time and i remember it getting fixed, but you throw out the zenistar disc and let mutalist quanta bubbles touch it over and over to stack crit damage, but you also lower your base damage for some reason. Eventually you would get negative blue numbers.

They should make the disk slowly consume combo, which also effects its damage, but be able to continue to build combo with the main blade, so it can last indefinitely as long as you keep the combo up. Great for defense, but not AFKing

Zenistar has always been my guilty pleasure melee, often modded for viral/radiation, which causes the disk to be viral/heat and the weapon post-deployment to be slash/shock, you can build up some nutty DoT with it like this while also priming enemies with viral and stun from the shock from the deployed disk. It pairs extremely well with Lavos, since anything that so much as looks in your general direction will have viral/heat applied and then take triple damage at base from his 4. You can take it even further by replacing his 2 (personal preference) with Coil Horizon, vacuuming in everything within 20+ meters into the disk's AOE for easy cleanup and forcing everything you pull in to take that delicious +200% from his 4. Throw on your favorite Incarnon primary/secondary and have fun never dying with periodic nukes and a ton of cc/utility.

Just tinkered with my old zenistar and loved using it to farm SP infested for over an hour solo. With gas and electric damage Influence pretty much rocked any mob that came my way save for stuff with overguard which my pistol quickly cleaned up. Even got my hands on a great riven to push the build to where I wanted it, giving me a 50s disc time

Honestly my biggest gripe with the current Zenistar is that you need to build up combo first and then throw the disc, because by that time everything is dead and the disc doesn't hit anyone. I think it would be better to throw the disc first and then extend its duration by building up the combo counter. Bonus points if they let the disc hits affect the combo counter. Another problem is that recalling the disc requires a charge attack and wastes the combo for no good reason. I think it'd be better of the recall was free.

They need to release prime/umbra versions of these for tenno con. Either way they're cool and deserve a form of updates, and it can be anything. Outside of incarnon they'll never be meta, but at least theyd be fun and obviously different. I definitely believe they deserve some love. Tho zenith will probably stay boring lol

I just did the obvious(maybe?) thing and combined with Kullervo. The guy who can build combo super-fast and his crit buff affects the disk and links enemies os they all take each others hits

I actually use this blade a ton on gyre, the disc can crit so a damage zone that can proc her rotorswell (cathod grace augment needed) is cool, also weapons like mutalist cernos and the gas clouds it leaves can also crit. These small pockets of lasting damage actually help to proc discharges a ton. Btw with the newest update, blast is now a viable element for the disc instead of gas

I have 2 builds, max range and crit melee influence and mid range damage melee vortex. Wrathful Advance also works and to get electric working you need gas. Also works well with grouping since the gas and and electric also spread their own aoe so I use it with Vauban too

Have you tried the new Melee Afflictions arcane on the Zenistar? Heavy attacks can fling/lift enemies pretty easily with some of the stances, and the weapon already applies statuses often, so maybe it could be worth checking out

Been using the zenistar for way too many years at this point if you can get yourself a riven with a attack speed and a Max initial combo and it'll probably end up being the only melee you'll use for the rest of your Warframe playtime

The stealth dmg math is wrong. The multiplier is additive to crit dmg. So 4x crit + 8x stealth will be 12x damage. Increase of 3x instead of 8x.
