I noticed Gyre going hard in The Circuit which got me interested. Then I had thought about the Archon Stretch mod that I use with my Wisp. Then your video comes out explaining her kit well enough to want me to hurry up and get home to try some builds.

Gyre never really caught my attention at all until I was forced to use her in Steel Path Circuit. I threw together some basic build not really focusing on much and she was still really good. Now when she comes up in SP circuit I always use her, she's so good.

I really like Gyre's kit, even after the nerf/bug fix. However, I kind of wish her band-aid mod was more in her base kit, rather than an augment, and in general, have augments change how an ability works in terms of functionality, rather than a modded buff/fix.

Fun fact, with Gyre's first skill you can cast it early in the air and still get the burst with the electric proc but now you can get it floating in the air.

May i add something ? i suggest replacing her second power by this helminth power : "Sickening Pulse" (description : Emit a pulse that adds stacks to status effects already afflicting enemies, except Bleed, Heat, and Toxin effects which are duplicated with fresh timers), when Gyre uses it with her 3 and 4, it is terribly effective.

i also want to point out her second ability inherently synergizes rlly well with electric because each body part on a ragdolled enemy is treated as a different enemy by electric procs when theyre ragdolled, and since it can be freely aimed it can be used to localize all ur damage on to eximi or etc (instead of before cathode current where it was the only way to have viable kpm and the only ability that did viable damage on its own)

I find her 1 to end up more powerful regardless if you can fit the mods for it, it spreads a lot of electric procs and gives you a lot of crits to proc your 4 and augment, even into areas where you can't see or hit enemies. Especially being able to throw down 3 of them with how large their area can cover (detonating them in the air can help placement a lot). Regardless her 2 is a lot better than one would think, although she already has plenty of success versus grouped enemies it just makes hordes die instantly.

As someone who has ran her once to level cap out of the 10 frames I have ran, I can confirm she is probably one of, if not, the best DPS frames in the game. It was hard competition with xaku.

while the new augment did save her, imo gyre is still a very niche warframe as she only excels in missions with decent enemy density or else her three cooldown will slow her down and most of the time people run her with negative duration pillage. they fr should remove the cathode cooldown it's mad annoying

She is def meant for endurance in the first place, but that is very good. Having really good niche frames is better than your broken and 0IQ frames like revenant, wukong and octavia, which sleep you through all content. If you're solo, I argue, you can play any mission with her, since you really only need that first ramp until everything runs for 60+ seconds. Gyre also provides insanely fun gameplay, which makes me gloss over any "optimal" stuff without a second thought.

​@Excali Gaming broken would imply wukong is, he really is weak kit wise these days. I think it's fine to have really strong all-rounder frames anyway, but they do require something to hold them back, such as Octavia's horribly boring playstyle. Gauss is one of my favorite examples as his kit is one of the best in the entire game, having speed that beats everything else in missions other than Titania, gun buffs that are extremely good, albeit not the best types like what Mirage has, and one of the most powerful nukes in the game for steel path and above. The cost being that to use any of it effectively you have to be extremely active, which for some players is just annoying and for others is fun.

Her nuke is certainly one of the stronger in the game because of how much freedom it offers you, since it is just constantly going and only requires the occasional activating of an armor strip it clears enemies with less imput than many other nukes. I think thats the main reason people love it so much, the extra freedom and it being solid KPS wise makes for a fun laid back time. Its certainly not the strongest nuke in the game, Octavia, Mirrage, and Gauss all hold those titles, but Gyre has her place.
