The current team at Respawn just don't have the PASSION the original team had for Titanfall. A 3rd installment would be a massive disappointment. I'm happy if they keep TF2 servers going, keep rotating the playlist like they are and maybe even add a new map, mode or possibly a new Titan. That's all we really need.

Why would they dedicate that much time working on Titanfall 2? Rotating playlists is fine and I doubt we're getting anything more than that. I think the only reason they updated TF2 is to promote the new content that's coming to apex which is supposed to be based off angel city. And it turns out they just added a 24/7 angel city playlist so that theory seems the most likely.

The main theory is that EA greenlit some kind of Titanfall 3, after opening a 3rd studio to work on “other projects” other than apex and Star Wars games. Edit: Titanfall 1 and 2 wouldn’t have EVER “died” (which they didn’t they were abandoned like a titan with no pilot 😂) IF TITANFALL GOT THE CONTENT SUPPORT IT DESERVES. A 50v50 1-2 life game mode war mode (similar to how you go to gulag or can be bought back in br but not a br mode BUT using similar ideas) I feel this idea would be insanely healthy for Titanfalls future!

Titanfall 2 never died, even when it was on life support you could matchmake properly on PC. I've never stopped playing in 4 years since I started and I can tell you first hand that barring the few weeks were the DDOS made the game completely unplayable there were still people lining up to get their frags and drop titans on each other. Fuck EA, but TF|2 never died on the PC even before Northstar.

anything TF related will be introduced through apex, the devs already stated they want apex to remain around for 20 years, they already have a lot of lore and backstory since its in the same universe as TF, the lore they built around TF will be used through apex and further lore development will be shown through apex, if a TF3 comes its going to be a years to come, maybe when next gen consoles release in like 2028, but even if that happens they need to remedy the game modes and figure out how to introduce a ranked system of some sort and get it esports ready or its practically doomed on launch as a FPS title with 2 prior games and a quite small community amongst the other FPS titles

titanfall 3 should just be bringing everything theyve learned and everything good from Titanfall 1, and 2, and Apex, all in 1 Game-i-verse. Heres what that would look like: You will get your weapons and items from grunts on the map. Specters can be hacked faster and will now aim where you aim, and shoot as you shoot as if you are wire guiding the entire squad you hacked on Gmod Wiremod remote turret logic. Movement has more momentum factored into grapple usage and using slopes, ramps. Wall climb and wall run are now the same automatic action. just depends how you wanna move and where you look when doing it. This way you can run across or straight up a wall forwards or backwards, or kick off of it sideways. Player thrusters can maintain a movement action and burn thrusters to prolong it. Prolonged boost slide, prolonged wall run, double jump, the boost melee being its own heavier form of a non-homing melee, and its based on a quickly recharging stamina meter. (pilot thrusters use titan boost meter logic now) Boosts and doing it off of ramps and then into a crouch hop can momentum stack. Bunnhopping or jumping as soon as your feet touch the ground is automatic but keeps consuming boost stam each bounce. Boost sliding lets you skip across water and you will not take damage from acid doing this... until you fall in. Titans are not killstreak based, they are pylon activation based and you call it in. separate from your ult. But thats fine. its a pseudo BR and these points on the map serve the same as bounty target locations in hunt showdown. in terms of player attraction to it. everyone wants to throw down at the titan summoning beacon/ hacking the comms tower jammer. Grunt CQC (like they do with each other in tf1) and Pilot CQC (with each other) is now one in the same. Pilots can get into brief rock paper scissor/ for-honor back and forth match with rapid consecutive melees. Kicks, punches, knees, One hit KO but with multiple chances to block or reverse the hit or grapple over a gun like its RDR2's Online CQC events. the 2 pilots doing this have immunity from the outside until they disengage the melee or land the hit on one another. It can go on as long as they want. During this time, thrusters do not loose stam, and both pilots can be trading karate moves in mid air like its DBZ. just hovering there. The controls are simple. Press the Metal Gear Rising button prompts I guess. Or just mash F. Takedowns from behind still work the same and will not offer a CQC event for the other player to escape from. Titans also have to find their weapons on the map and from other titans. But anything is their weapon. Can even rip a tree or light post out of the ground and either use it as a bat, or a throwable. Cars are free game. If a sword is found, it can chop buildings and crack them open. Pick up prowlers and huck them into a base to drive the pilots out of it. To a titan, these are like Snarks from black mesa.

Just to correct something, Titanfall 2's anniversary is not the same day as Apex Legends season 19. Titanfall's anniversary is October 28th, Season 19 of Apex Legends will begin on October 31st. So they're close, but not at the same time. I've seen a lot of people saying they're the same day but they're not.

Titanfall 2 was totally fine in my eyes. 40 bucks for an EA game felt like a glitch in the universe. It had an amazing campaign, multiplayer was the perfect link between CoD and Battlefield, beautiful maps, live service, everything. And then the community completely split up, mostly because of the one mode, that destroyed the game. The mode in your very video. Pilot vs fucking Pilot. Miss me with this shit. for a game as old as TF2, that's way beyond expectations for a TDM type game. far from dead. It's doing a lot better than old CoD games which you have to go through hoops to be able to play like you did with the northstar client. You're lucky to get 1500 players for BO2 and old Modern Warfares. and yes they're comparable because they're aged games. TF is a movement shooter which is what zoomers love and has aged better.
