I just did my first stand up. The topic was severe child abuse and I did 40 minutes and got laugh. The audiense was expecting a talk about children’s rights versus abuse in cults. I signed up as a speaker to try out my darkest material… and the unsuspecting audience was laughing. Afterwards they came up to me and said: «this was almost like standup comedy» (Litle did they know) My first open mike turned out to 40 minutes 🤣 I am a sneaky bugger
