Ok, hands down, the match of day 11...Ura vs. Hiradoumi. That was a crazy match. Two monoiis and Ura finally getting the win in their third match. And to see that smile Ura had on his face afterwards was priceless.

The battle of the Make-koshi with Ura and Hiradoumi was awesome! A double torinaoshi? I'm not sure I've ever seen 2 in a row! But, It looked like Hiradoumi won the first redo...and then Ura's fight in the second redo was wild! Great night of Sumo! Thanks and I hope you feel better!

Never seen a double do-over. Last days will be interesting and most of san’yaku might even hit KK. Takerufuji coming to the last match seems crazy. M16 vs. ozeki while having 8-3 record. Hoshoryu reminds me of my late karate coach. Similar stare and stern look overall. Day 13: Hoshoryu vs. Onosato Day14: Kotozakura vs. Onosato Day 15: Hoshoryu vs. Kotozakura

Hoshoryu is only that way on the dohyo. He’s a joker off of it. If you can find coverage of him outside of formal sumo he’s always laughing and joking and smiling. He learned that stern look from one of the best, Uncle was a master of that stare. This is the best basho we’ve had in a while, feels like things are on track again. Took some time for the guard to change (the change isn’t complete yet but we have young talent coming up and into its own we just need a west Yokozuna).

Still think they are giving Onosato a bit of a raw deal. Is it because he won the last Basho that they keep giving him the hard opponents that are doing well instead of the Maegashira rank 4's? Neither Kotozakura nor Hoshoryu have faced any of the leaders in ranking so far. Only Onosato and it looks like the two other Ozeki are just set to battle the rest of the Sen'yaku for the rest of the Basho.
