Thank you for this video. It is all true. I lived on Medina Lake and the same thing is happening to Canyon Lake. The drought is so obviously not the whole problem. Greed and mis-management is the real problem. This - and so much more - needs to happen - The "People" need to keep complaining to Federal, State, and Local officials. If enough people take action, it can force the issue. This is also a health risk. People got West Nile this summer on Canyon Lake. Stagnant water doesn't help. Those making money off the water with development don't care about that, though.

@@karlameredithheld You hit the nail on the head! MISMANAGEMENT, OVERDEVELOPMENT, and PROFITS from selling water. They only give lip service to placate the people who are worried that their water supply is disappearing.

Complaining? People just had their chance to make a difference and yet they re-elected those who only care about money.

Well, the county better start dropping taxes on all of the houses around the lake because people moved there because of the lake and paid a premium for that. Probably some corruption going on and some are lining their pockets.

Development on current residents dime needs to stop and the water company needs to return to locals hands and taken from global investors trying to by up everything and manipulate prices! Water should not be takes from water rich areas and piped or drained to water baren areas so they can continue unsustainable growth. And yes, even locally the ridiculous irrigation of non native grasses and landscaping needs to stop but this has been going on for decades and not caused the rapid drops we have seen in the last two years! This is about money in someone's pockets guaranteed and corrupt county officials taking kickbacks and one day the truth will come out but likely not before the entire area is restructured! Y'all better watch and be ready to step up now!

I appreciate your video. What action, can we as concerned citizens take? Writing to our state reps doesn’t seem to make a difference.

@CamiRush The "People" need to keep complaining to Federal, State, and Local officials. If enough people take action, it can force the issue. Many people think everything is okay and it's not my problem. I'm trying to raise everyone's awareness to the seriousness of the problem.
