Welcome back to our cottage garden for our November tour. It feels like it hasn't stopped raining here this month! We have finally changed our trellis fencing for hazel hurdles, and I have also started growing mushrooms for the first time on logs cut from our oak tree. Hope you enjoy the tour :)

Love the ducks, love the hazel fence, basically love all you have going on. Your spring lawn I'm sure will be stunning. I grew saffron yrs ago, it never did bloom all at once, I loved it in rice dishes.

The garden is still looking lovely. The new fence panels are lovely. I've been deliberating for some time about getting those but have been worried about how long they would last. I hadn't heard the tip about the linseed oil.

Thank you so much. Yeah they are very pricey for their short lifespan aren’t they. I’ve heard getting them hand woven in situ they will last for much longer but the upfront cost is higher. Thanks for your comment 😊

Planted safran crocus end of september and only 1 flowered and the flower did not look so great. Wonder if this is because of the intense wind that we had. I live in North of France

0:42 Yes, summer flashes by because everything must be done around the same time. Here in Ohio, 3 rounds of hoeing and pulling weeds, quickly followed by most vegetables are ready at the same time, crucifers the only exception. My vegetable garden is 5 feet wide by 300 feet long. I canned 70 quarts of tamatoes from it, 40 quarts of yellow wax beans, 20 quarts of pole beans, at the same time I needed to get Borlotti, cannellini, red and white kidney beans out of the garden before the plants lean down to the graound and rot and sprout. So, 4 gallons of dried beans, then sweet corn in the deep freeze. Like a "fire hose" full blast of things that must be done, then comes autumn and everythings slows down. So , yes, when we are busy, time flies by. Our Autmn leaves are totally on the ground now, all trees bare. I chill down my busy brain for bed time by listening to Deep House music, especially to what Faraon composes, also I watch Moonlight Cottage ASMR , the French lady wo does historical re enactments . Very nice garden that you have, thank you for sharing. My only flowers now is my 4 years old Fuji , spider mum, 6 feet tall, loaded with blooms.
