In South Africa we get Hadedas (Ibis) without asking 😂 they make a lot of noise and eat your dog's food but also eat garden pests. They also look like tiny flying dinosaurs

I note they were bred first in the islands that are part of Indonesia. So they are an example of global exchange of useful things. I like that.

Do they also eat flower and blooms? I'm worried they would ruin my flower garden..

How do you manage duck manure? Are they able to be trained to poop in a designated area?

OK, so they eat slugs and snails, that's good, but how are they with the veggies?

Raised dozens of little runner ducklings and khaki Cambels. Our eldest runner took the momma role and raised one khali to be her second. Personality plus. Eat bugs, slugs, snails. Saw them try to eat a millipede, passing it around like a hot potato, until i could get it away from them. 🦜🦆

You will never murder and eat them, will you? Do you love them? Also, "clipping wings" is just animal cruelty. If a bird is meant to fly, it should fly.

I have a khaki Campbell whos definitely more runner duck than the rest she looks just like a khaki Campbell but stands straight up and her behaviors aren't like the other ducks. She's a better pest controller by far. She'll hunt a fly from across the yard down.

Your Garden IS Beautifuuul... For the gaps, i would probably fill it in with all soorts of berries. Maybe less showy. But wonderful snacks. You can do all sorts of things with your rose petals aswel, besides composting

I spent a couple of months on a farm because my single parent had a burnout. One of my sisters was obsessed with getting ducks after her youngest sister got hamsters for Christmas. All four of them had pets so she really wanted one too and for some reason decided on ducks. I remember how she googled facts about different duck breeds their pros as farm animals and how she printed out pictures to make a duck collage.

Duck eggs are a healthier choice then chicken eggs also. They are great for people with high cholesterol. I have ducks and chickens but we prefer the duck eggs more.
