Well Betsy will definitely sort that issue 😊 No pockets though and am pondering whether to add. Have made and wearing the planned version so will see how much of an issue it is!!

May I suggest you gently squish your liberty silk in woolite in cold water, by hand in a bucket. Then, continue to wash the garment in the same way once made up. I don't overlook or stitch my raw ends. It's better to let them do their thing and then draw a thread after the fabric is dry to get your straight crosswise grain again. Your silk is utterly gorgeous and well worth the extra hassle!

Thanks Sally I used to do this but have watched a few people wash on delicate cold in a bag without a problem. I'm not sure I'll wear it if I need to hand wash it...will ponder 😊

@debsmadethis That is a great idea! I would do the hand-wash before stitching and the baggie wash afterwards. A silk blouse is a special item and it mostly doesn't need scrubbing, so enjoy your fantastic silk fabric. I'm dying to see it made up beautifully 😍

I think the square neck top is a bit too low cut. Not for any modesty reasons, just the proportion of the top when you tuck it in. Maybe just raise it an inch or inch and a half? The shape of the neckline is very attractive.

@@debsmadethis I worked in theatre costume shops for a decade. When we knew the style, fabrics, colors were all good but something was still off, it was usually the proportions. I find it true for myself as well.
