Let's rather not vote based on how we feel but rather what the candidates have achieved that was significant in alleviating the lives of the Namibian people. What I mean by this: say you have a candidate who was a mayor or governor before, critique their accomplishments during their tenure in office. It should let you know if that particular candidate would be able to deliver in an office of greater power than the one they were in. Remember "if you can't do the small things right, forget about the big thing" 😊

SWAPO liberated Namibia of course we praise it for that. But it failed to free us from economic hardship, so we noticed that this is not a fight SWAPO can win so we going to vote those who can. And if there will be war, SWAPO will be the right movement to join, economic freedom isn't just their thing we believe.

If opposition parties can capture Khomas region, Otjozondjupa, Erongp,Karas, Hardap, Omaheke region and still make sufficient inroads into the northern regions such as ohangwena, oshana, oshikoto, omusati, they will win Swapo or bring it to a coalition. Indeed, and I had explained. If this is the only false information, then let it be. This was my response to others who observed it: I realised the moment I mentioned her age that I mixed it up with Trump. Apologies for this mistake. She is 72 and I had no opportunity to correct this. But the argument holds that she is so much older than half of those eligible to vote (which was the point I wanted to make). No excuse for having misspoken.

4 years difference with your change maker Dr Itula (67), who's 2 years older than Sophia Shaningwa (65). Itula have been a leader of SPYL before 1979 he's part of the corruption. He's been teaching the words that he's against right now as a SPYL Lecturer after independence. They should change the (C) in IPC coz there's really no change. Just another SWAPO member trying to make it big on their own like Hidipo and RDP. There is No big age difference between the two candidates really (Netumbo 72 & Itula 67)
@isaimwiila953
@isaimwiila953 4 күн бұрын
Netumbo (72) and Itula (67) are the same age group. Itula has been in SWAPO from the 1970s till 2019. Netumbo also from the 1970s till now. (Different jobs), but IPC is no difference from SWAPO... if you have a person that reverted from SWAPO and now ruling IPC with SWAPOs political knowledge, I believe he's going to have the same policies, laws, land issues, interest and tax plans. Either way on the ground in Namibia SWAPO is still favored to win. Netumbo survived 1 assassination attempt (one of her cars mysteriously burnt), there was another car of hers that burnt too. That's a sign

I don't know much about Namibian politics, but what is the alternative & is it going to improve the nation? Second question, do you really believe the issue in Southern African politics is the national liberation movements? I mean the policies pursued surely have to be factored in & the fact that the supposed opposition won't change much in terms of policy... One more issue, reading the Tricontintenal: Institution for Social Research revelations of who funds the South African African media & the disclosures of political party funding by the IEC suggests that, at the very least, one must conclude that there's foreign involvement not just of civilians but also foreign intelligence in the drive to remove the ANC from power - how possible is it that our neighboring countries are experiencing something similar? By the way this is not a defense of these former liberation movements, but since you're so adamant I thought maybe you might be aware of something I'm missing...

I don't know what agenda Newzroom Africa has with Swapo, the title is misleading, like the Madala said there are NO polls in Namibia. Which polls are you referring to in your title? It is also wierd to hear the Swedish professor referring to Cde NNN as 78 years old, last time we checked she just turned 73 years recently. And please, Africans in the diaspora, you must leave the affairs of Africa to those who live inside Africa, as we are the ones who feel the heat, at times we no longer sure whose agenda you are serving. Talking and wishful thinking is cheap, but elections are won at the ballot, let us wait for the 27th November, it appears none of you people understand voting dynamics in Namibia. By the way, Swapo is not ANC or BDP or any other, just wait for it, we in Namibia know how we got here.

If SWAPO could be wise they would have held a meeting to choose a much younger presidential candidate, the continuation of old leaders will be their downfall. Are you telling me there is no competent young men in the party more capable than the granny they chose? I strongly believe that if the elders left office, retire and allowed the youth in the party chance to run things, the party would be in a better position.

The sick part of this is that they dont care wether is a old pensioner. Land has become very expensive......etc!! Job opportunities are declining day by day!! The question is wich party has that leader whos ready to change things in the GRN for the people of the country to start enjoying their own counrie's benefits!

Most of our people are in rural areas and I’m sure that they didn’t participate in these “polls”, neither those in shanty towns. I can confidently say that the polls are off completely. We in Swapo have done ground work since 2022 and it will be no surprise when we win. Until to date 12/11/2024 only Swapo had fully packed rallies, no other party has had rallies. Believe me we are poised to win.

As some have rightly so observed, I misspoke as regards NNN's age. Here is the reason why (not an excuse, but an explanation): I realised the moment I mentioned her age that I mixed it up with Trump. Apologies for this mistake. She is 72 and I had no opportunity to correct this. But the argument holds that she is so much older than half of those eligible to vote (which was the point I wanted to make). No excuse for having misspoken.

The polls by Afrobarometer suggested a SWAPO win. Why not point it out in your analysis? Which polls did you rely on besides your personal opinion? Your analysis contains little substance yet is filled with massive disinformation aimed at de-campaigning Swapo. This is a one-sided analysis spreading false information with the intention to mislead. You have an opportunity to have the deceptive title of this broadcast renamed to reflect it as your personal and subjective opinion. Otherwise, we take it as an organised agenda between yourself and Newsroom to spread propaganda and de-campaign SWAPO.

Im sorry to disappoint you but swapo will not loose. Swapo did alot in the span of 34 years. we are still one of the best governed country in Africa. Surely we do have some corrupt activities which is common globally and our unemployment that is high but thats not attainable in a short period of time cause we still dont own the land. Whoever owns the land, owns the economy, so how do you expect swapo to curb poverty over a short period of time in a democratic country. Come on man, give us a break.
@BigDawgH11
@BigDawgH11 7 күн бұрын
We do not own any land because Swapo government structured it that way... MOU's and various documents were signed willingly by swapo. Keep in mind of all Swapo grn brought only during election year: jobs, fuel price decrease etc. If they are able to do so during election year, they should've done it all throughout the years and not when they need the masses the most.
@vilhokandume

@BigDawgH11 it's not only here. We couldn't take the Mugabe routine coz we were not ready for the collateral damage it would cause by taking the land back forcefully, which is why we had the willing buyer willing seller policy. My disappointment is our education system, it failed the youth which contributed to youth unemployment. If they can empower the youth financially,the economy wil be good. But surely, they are the only party that is still fit to lead. Their structure is still stable compared to the opposition parties. My view

@@petracollins8623 By progressive I'm sure you mean a government that will hollow out the state through privatization, introduce austerity measures & relinquish whatever role of government to the private sector... Question is, where have this policies been successful? In case you have noticed, the decline of the West coincides with the policies of Reagan & Thatcher - what became known as neoliberalism. While the liberation movements have been a total disaster, the people of Namibia could be jumping off a frying pan, but only into the fire...
