Let's rather not vote based on how we feel but rather what the candidates have achieved that was significant in alleviating the lives of the Namibian people. What I mean by this: say you have a candidate who was a mayor or governor before, critique their accomplishments during their tenure in office. It should let you know if that particular candidate would be able to deliver in an office of greater power than the one they were in. Remember "if you can't do the small things right, forget about the big thing" 😊

4 years difference with your change maker Dr Itula (67), who's 2 years older than Sophia Shaningwa (65). Itula have been a leader of SPYL before 1979 he's part of the corruption. He's been teaching the words that he's against right now as a SPYL Lecturer after independence. They should change the (C) in IPC coz there's really no change. Just another SWAPO member trying to make it big on their own like Hidipo and RDP. There is No big age difference between the two candidates really (Netumbo 72 & Itula 67)
@isaimwiila9534 күн бұрын
Netumbo (72) and Itula (67) are the same age group. Itula has been in SWAPO from the 1970s till 2019. Netumbo also from the 1970s till now. (Different jobs), but IPC is no difference from SWAPO... if you have a person that reverted from SWAPO and now ruling IPC with SWAPOs political knowledge, I believe he's going to have the same policies, laws, land issues, interest and tax plans. Either way on the ground in Namibia SWAPO is still favored to win. Netumbo survived 1 assassination attempt (one of her cars mysteriously burnt), there was another car of hers that burnt too. I don't know much about Namibian politics, but what is the alternative & is it going to improve the nation? Second question, do you really believe the issue in Southern African politics is the national liberation movements? I mean the policies pursued surely have to be factored in & the fact that the supposed opposition won't change much in terms of policy... One more issue, reading the Tricontintenal: Institution for Social Research revelations of who funds the South African African media & the disclosures of political party funding by the IEC suggests that, at the very least, one must conclude that there's foreign involvement not just of civilians but also foreign intelligence in the drive to remove the ANC from power - how possible is it that our neighboring countries are experiencing something similar? By the way this is not a defense of these former liberation movements, but since you're so adamant I thought maybe you might be aware of something I'm missing...

And please, Africans in the diaspora, you must leave the affairs of Africa to those who live inside Africa, as we are the ones who feel the heat, at times we no longer sure whose agenda you are serving. We do not own any land because Swapo government structured it that way... MOU's and various documents were signed willingly by swapo. Keep in mind of all Swapo grn brought only during election year: jobs, fuel price decrease etc. If they are able to do so during election year, they should've done it all throughout the years and not when they need the masses the most.

@BigDawgH11 it's not only here. We couldn't take the Mugabe routine coz we were not ready for the collateral damage it would cause by taking the land back forcefully, which is why we had the willing buyer willing seller policy. My disappointment is our education system, it failed the youth which contributed to youth unemployment. If they can empower the youth financially,the economy wil be good. But surely, they are the only party that is still fit to lead. Their structure is still stable compared to the opposition parties. My view

@@vilhokandume The hundreds of vacancies that came out this year (during an election year) usually indicate that the government is very capable of curbing unemployment rates, but for whatever reason, they refuse to.

@@BigDawgH11 I get you but they surely learned a lesson and there will be some changes in the next 5 year's. The Botswana and S.A situation is a wake up call, plus what Mr J.Mapunga said serves as a huge wake up call. So yah, well bounce back stronger.

The liberation movement's need to know when to let go. There is a groundswell over Africa for more progressive democratic governance. Corruption is the big temptation for African leaders.
@loyisomalobola68710 күн бұрын
@@petracollins8623 By progressive I'm sure you mean a government that will hollow out the state through privatization, introduce austerity measures & relinquish whatever role of government to the private sector... Question is, where have this policies been successful? In case you have noticed, the decline of the West coincides with the policies of Reagan & Thatcher - what became known as neoliberalism. While the liberation movements have been a total disaster, the people of Namibia could be jumping off a frying pan, but only into the fire...

Namibia better choose a centre-right economic liberal government, Botswana has chosen a leftist pan-africanist government and we all know that’s not quiet right 🤞

Through voting rigs, the youth in Namibia you dont receive nor grants nor stipends unlike south africa and minimum wage is unrecognisable let your vote mean your future. Roads infrastructures are build by chinese where do you see that in south africa, Namibia is a hub of South Africa, shame on those corrupt officials hiding behind chinese.
