I've found myself reading more horror books lately as well. Not sure why, but I end up kickstarting my reading habit after a slump with a good horror novel.

It varies a lot - I might not read at all one day and then do 9 hours the next. I work from home and don’t really have a social life which helps (but I am also a fast reader - I think my range is between 500-700wpm). I will be doing a new how much I read in a week vlog soon so you can see how it goes although I am actively trying to read less as I can’t keep up with the filming and editing

Dark Matter: A Ghost Story by Michelle Paver would be a nice one for you. The audible version has a great voice actor. It's short. I know people don't understand your sneeze. Bless you.

Reading 3 books now and I see After the Forest (Kell Woods) is at the library so I hope I can pick that up soon. You can swear but not excessively (No "words" for the 1st 30secs) or just *blip* them out editing.

The Shinning was probably my favorite read from this month though I think it was one of the weaker King books I've read. The Mountain Crown by Karin Lowachee was probably second place

I read 12 in november, honestly none were bad! Top 3 were The Unmothers by Leslie Anderson The Wild Huntress by Emily Lloyd-Jones (from your rec!) Lois the Witch and other gothic tales by Elizabeth Gaskell (No 5☆ magic but all very good) Next month "Heavenly Tyrant" by Xiran Jay Zhao comes out and that's my most anticipated release of the year! Elena Knows is on my list and you're motivating me to (hopefully) get to it.
