Are the times going to be EU friendly as well? Or is this more of a US thing?

Would be interested to know this as well (i.e. UTC 0 or thereabouts). Also whether games can be played asynchronously (and whether other players would be happy to do that).

There will be players from U.S. as well as EU. The game times are scheduled by each group of four players each week. So if your group is a mix of U.S. and EU, it’s common to schedule Saturday/Sunday morning for U.S. which is Saturday/Sunday evening for EU. So people compete from EU and all over the world without issues frequently.
