how do you put starter strip on unlevel ground

Ok i am on a siding job dry stone and corners on the front wall are to be 3 panels high with corner pieces and ledger. Note side walls will start even with the 1st panel of stone and will be D4.5 Now since i am not runnend a ledger on the side walls how do i cap off the ledger corner

You have to cut the corners in half to make an end cap. Dumbest shit I've ever seen.

That looks horrible. Why would you want the flange exposed? Do you assume most people are replacing the entirety of their siding?

My thoughts exactly. They should have the ledge edge cap. But I can't find that anywhere
