Novsight is doing some great things! I just spent three days in the tent this past weekend, with a lot of wind and rain and it held up to both just fine!

Thanks for the review. There's not a lot out there on this one. It looks to be well made, and compared to other wedge-style tents, this one is more the size I'm looking for, being 6'2" also.

Yeah, it's fairly new on the market. I had the first one over here, so I've been using it since about October. I was recently in Florida for the SAVE expo, and spent three nights in it. There was a decent amount of wind and rain those nights, and a tent held up just fine.

@@DefiantOffroad I contacted the company about the mattress size. They said it is 82x53. With the shell measurements being roughly 90x60, I'm wondering is there space around the mattress that is just hard floor?

Hello there! Great video review on this RTT. Not having a hard-shell on the bottom are you having any issues with mattress condensation and getting the bottom fabrics very wet? Thank you for your time!

Hey there! No issue at all with condensation under the mattress. I camped at Overland Expo East a few weeks ago and it got fairly chilly the last night, with high humidity and some fog. That resulted in some minor condensation inside the tent, but under the mattress didn't appear to get any. At this point I've probably got about 15-16 nights in the tent and I still love it!

This my first to see a Novsight rooftop tent. Great review with good pointers on the engineering. How thick is the mattress and is it comfortable?

Great review, thank you. What are the corner attachments on the aluminum extrusion made of? Are they also aluminum, or some kind of polymer?

I feel like testing out the other tents would give you better perspective and more data points with which to compare to the Novsight. Especially if this one is your first one. And more content opportunity (if you wanted to do more gear reviews).

Not sure if I missed the answers to my questions, I do apologize if I did. What is the thickness of the mattress and how do you like it? Did the RTT come with cross bars for the top? I have their fog lights and I was very surprised by the brightness and quality so i will be adding more of them, great review and I am looking into making one of these RTT mine soon.

The mattress is about 2 inches I'd say (I haven't measured it). It's a bit firm for my tastes, but hasn't kept me awake at night. I'll eventually toss a memory foam pad on top of it. It does come with cross bars. I just don't have them on there. I have about a dozen or so nights in it now (including some rainy and windy ones), and I still think that it's a great tent.

@@DefiantOffroad thank you! I’m torn between this RTT or just waiting a bit more and getting the Tune M1 for full freedom inside. The Dirtbox canopy is on my list as well.

The other two options are going to give you more versatility with the extra storage obviously. If you opt to go RTT thought, I definitely give this tent two thumbs up!

Maybe this is a silly question. Does come with the roof rack or is that sold seperately. If seperate can you lin the one you own?

It does come with the roof rack. I just have it removed, because I don't use it.

@@DefiantOffroadshort bed Tacoma, below roof line, basically trying to gauge how much overhang it will be, I know what 82-83 inch ones may look like, according to novsights website, it says 90inches, which I am not 100% trust yet. Haha😂. Thank you!
