Overview and review of this compressor after owning it for 1 year, including a short look at it in action. This is the exact same thing as the Hatsan TactAir Spark (~$450). So far it has been great. Well worth the price you pay, in my opinion.
I also paid the extra $45 for the Amazon 4-year warranty so if it breaks up until 2025 - it's Amazon's problem, not mine! 😈😈😈

Yeah, I trashed my GX compressor by repeatedly starting it under pressure. I learned the hard way not to do that. Fortunately, I had bought the Asurion warranty. They reimbursed me within a day of receiving it, so I bought another one. It has been holding up well so far (6 months in). GX now warns you, in the manual and on Amazon, not to restart under pressure.

Fuck yes its worth it. I bought this for my hatsan blitz with takes a 4500psi tank. I have had it for about a year and its still kickin. There are better compressors to work with but for the price this is worth it. Plus these can be rebuilt and fixed. Brothers In Air youtuber shows how to fix it. Im glad I bought mine ..Also there is a vent under this compressor. It will breath easier on flat service. I even tilt mine to give more breathing room. As for a case I use ( at this point I just heard you mention brothers in air....hah ) a small traveling case with the two rollers and extenable handle from goodwill. Works perfectly . I'm glad you made this video . Also help remind new pcp gun owners to be aware of the dangers of lubricants they use with high pressure.

Great Idea to let the fan cool down for all of us with air compressors for PCP guns. I just got one and that's a great idea. I didn't get the one you have but for all of us it's a very good idea all electronic devices need cool. I remember my first car was a Thunderbird car. 1983 and it was the turbo 4cyl and never knew you had to let the car idel after using turbo and it kept damaging the turbo and hardly ever worked and extremely expensive to fix it. Each bill was a grad and fixed it four times until I sold it. Then 20yrs later someone told me many many people hated them but in the car manual always had let the car Ideal for a while when parking. I never did that any many owners had no clue so the car never took off back then as a great buy and awesome car. Clue, let you're crap cool down period. So thank you for that tip. We all need to learn that. Save money and keep calm for you to save big bucks just takes a minute or two. Thank you!

Yes with those old turbo setups you had to let the oil run through them for a little while to cool them down before shutdown or else you would get what they call coking which is basically the oil burning and solidifying

@@bertbccfu9564 I just bought mine and is top of the line. Still Ill use that advice. As I know having a turbo car back in the early 90's I had a Turbo 4cyl. Ford Thunder Bird. And it was a turbo 4cyl. After blowing the Turbo twice then selling it. When I sold they told me yeah of course you did. They were tricky cars but extreemly powerful enough to blow a six cyl out of the water. And I knew it after racing a six cyl Honda civic 6 cyl. It was so powerful it would litteraly through you back into the sear like you were taking off in an airplane! No joke. So violent it would make youre head hit the head rest. The reason was it would blow. You needed to ler it cool without turning off the engine before it had cooled. I had no clue as the original owners never said a word. I was in highschool at the time and the car was lowered and completly blacked out. Windows, license plate covers, paint etc. The only color was a tiny two pin stripe lines. From rear to front. Purple and bright pink. The big colors of back then.

Excellent review. This is one of those generic air compressors that various distributors, wholesalers, and retailers buy, slap their (typically difficult to pronounce) name on it, and instantly as if by magic you see em on fleabay and AMZN, and as the host noted, prices all over the map. To find the best price, keep this page open, then search for it BY LOOKS on AMZN. I did just now, Oct. 20, 2022. Found it under "PCP air compressor 4500psi 300bar powered by 12v DC or 110v AC with power supply included for paintball tank pcp airgun scuba mini tank" But under the listing it says "Visit the Orcair store." So it is the same one as the host's compressor. (Side note: I didn't know the Orcs went into the air compressor business. Defeat makes creatures do odd things.) Best part, today's price is a paltry $219! Snap em up while you can guys. Frankly, IMO this is the best air compressor you could ever hope to find at such a dirt cheap price, that sells elsewhere for $450!

@airshootist
@airshootist Жыл бұрын
Well you have volume and you have pressure. You've said nothing about "large" (volume), only about high pressure. 4500 fills are no problem at all. However, do NOT try and fill a scuba tank with this. I'd say a 68/4500 paintball tank is verging on the largest you should really go. Manufacturer says 500cc. And remember , take breaks every 8-10 minutes and fully vent the pressure in between startups or you'll destroy the compressor.

Thank you! I actually really like doing videos that are helpful to others, which may seem surprising since most of my videos are silly memed-up critter deaths. I would NOT keep that bad boy in the cold. You will put stress on seals and joints with the expansion and contraction of materials due to changes in temp. Keep your investment safe, inside, at room temp.

I can’t find any videos on that
@airshootist
@airshootist 2 жыл бұрын
Not sure what to make of the above.... but make sure you're not yanking fill probes out under pressure. Always vent (via the bleeder screw on the side of the compressor) before you disconnect. If your gun is dumping all its air you've got a problem with the internal check valve in the rifle's fill area.

Good video. I have been looking in to getting one of those compressors. I currently use a Yong Heng compressor and the explosive proof burst disk blows after about 5-6 fills. It’s really annoying. I have had it for about 2 years. It works great other than that. Have you experienced this issue with that compressor? Also, how does it do when filling your 4500 psi bottles. I have a 3L, 4500 psi tank as well that I carry along with me to the farm for rifle refills but I would like to carry a compressor like yours to the farm to quickly refill my 4500 psi bottle on my condor. I have seen this same style of compressor that has a rating up to 5000 psi. What is your take on all this?
@airshootist
@airshootist 2 жыл бұрын
So far this thing has been amazing, not a single issue. I did buy the $45 4-year warranty from Amazon so if it breaks --> their problem! While it isn't recommended to fill large bottles (like your 3L) with this, I bet it could do it easily if you gave it breaks every 10/15 minutes and ONLY if using some sort of check valve (like the fill nipple on your Condor) so air only goes one way. Also, as I mentioned in my video, when giving it a break you need to VENT YOUR PRESSURE. Starting these compressors up against pressure will fry the motor. You won't need to lug your 3L tank to the farm with this, as long as you arrived in a car. Simply hook it up to your battery (car running) and you're good to go. I have used it like that out in the field no problem. Comes with the 110v wall adapter, too, so you're always covered.

I bought exactly the same compressor from Ebay the only difference is that mine came in orange. I would like to know if it is safe to be able to use it the way it comes without damaging anything inside my rifle until I bought the bigger aftermarket water/oil separator that looks that makes a better job than the tiny one that comes along with the compressor. Also if this new hose and water/oil separator need be used separately with the other oem hose or if we can use both two to increase even more the rifle protection against humidity. Thanks
@airshootist
@airshootist 2 жыл бұрын
@@raymondmorales8252 I would just get the little oil water separator rather than the giant one. The giant one has tons of volume and takes forever to fill. After every fill, I take apart the small oil water separator and I let it dry out on top of the compressor as I let the fan cool it. The compressor shoots the hot air out the top and it works perfectly to dry out the filter again. Also what you can do after a fill is remove your hose and run the compressor for a second attached to nothing - some water will come out

When I first got mine I tried to fill my dive tank and I'm sure with enough patience you could probably do it but it might take you 3 hours LOL, also I probably wouldn't do it because it's just too much wear and tear on the little compressor , it's only like five bucks to fill my 80 tank to 3600 at the dive shop, once I upgraded to the carbon-fiber bottle with 4,500 I needed a compressor though, which is why I bought this one, i do filll my 500cc carbon fiber bottle on the gun to300 bar / 4500 psi with no problems, I think from the 160 bar where my regulator is set it takes me about three Cycles, meaning that I run it till it hits 170 degrees Fahrenheit shut it down let it cool basically back to room temperature and then let the air out of it so it does not start under a load and start the process again, all in all it takes me maybe 10-15 minutes to fill to 4500 and that's taking my time, I've had this compressor about 2 years I would say it has paid for itself as I use it like at least once a week

You're missing one important piece of info - the volume of the tank. If it's a paintball tank (up to 68ci) it should never take that long. If you're filling a scuba, stop, this little compressor is not designed for that. You should also be stopping the pump at the 15 minute mark and letting it cool down with the fan running (while also venting the air, or you'll break the pump if starting it up against pressure)

I've heard of the big ones exploding. I have one but am timid to use it, plus it takes way longer to fill. I use the little blue guy and that seems to be OK
