He basically ignored all parts of football like pressing, build-up, off-ball movement so he could conserve energy to make a few darting runs into the box on breakaway opportunities and raise his hands for someone to serve him up on a plate... Obviously, if that's all you do every game, the ball is going to end up at you feet enough times for you to score a few goals, but it does not really inspire or improve the overall performance of a team in any way... And it was the same issue at Juventus towards the end. A buddy of mine who is a long-time Juventus fan said the same. He clutched them some games in the Champions League with his experience and clinical finishing, but the overall football they played was worse than before (when they went to the Final of UCL in 2015 etc.) cause Ronaldo sucks the creativity and ability to play dynamic football up front because has no stamina anymore and needs to constantly rest and conserve legs so he can pounce on that one or two opportunites he gets enough space to exploit...

Basically, Ten Hag's inexperience of coaching big clubs and big names is showing through the cracks now that the honeymoon phase is over... When he was coaching at Ajaxx, he didn't have to tell certain man why he isn't playing them... And it worked. Because it was a different type of deal... What you all still fail to understand, because, apparently, no one of you really watched Ronaldo's Morgan interview, is that in Cristiano's case, the conflict with Ten Hag, was not all about just things on the pitch and how he was treated as a player, it was personal! Cristiano clearly articulated during the interview, that Ten Hag treated him without respect as a player, and as a human being, which was much worse! Really people, if you want to talk about Ten Hag and Ronaldo's conflict, then at least have the facts straight, and think a little deeper. the fact is that we weren't there behind closed doors, and United's coaches always have at least half of the British media behind them, doing PR for them, so of course they all manipulated this story so Ronaldo would look like a villain, but since then enough of the facts confirmed that Ronaldo was the one telling the truth. I think he meant in CM. Eriksen has hardly played CM in his career. He's played mostly as a 10 or RW at Spurs. Ten Hag bought a heart patient to do cardio work in CM. It’s hilarious reds defending that the other situations were handled incorrectly but with Ronaldo he handled it correctly…if it was handed respectfully Ronaldo wouldn’t have reacted like that… obviously no one especially at his level with things that he’s achieved.
