Rants the problem with you and i also had the same problem until i changed my views is that you are comparing previous generation of footballers to the current footballers. We both remember the early to mid 2000's and even late 2000's where all the top top teams in europe were stacked. The champions league had a magical feel, now it doesn't because all the top teams in europe are shell of their former selves, there is a sharp decline in football when it comes to talent and it is obvious. However rather than trying to compare previous generation footballers to current generation, you should instead compare current generaiton footballers to their current peers and when you do that you wouldn't have a problem saying Bellingham is arguably the best player in the world currently. Or Haaland is a world class striker/Finisher. Do not compare these current players to previous generations because they just do not compare, the levels are different and you will never appreciate these current group of players when you do this.

Also look at the club Haaland plays for, those guys over there win leagues constantly and work twice as hard or more and you’ll never hear anything about it.
