@@HelgeKS Yes the Hammersmith version! It is very underrated, but Wembley is great as well.

This song was written about Queens 1974 tour of the USA as the support act for Mott The Hoople (All The Young Dudes, All The Way From Memphis, Golden Age Of Rock & Roll). The tour had been badly planned with them virtually crossing the country between gigs then being back to somewhere within a few miles of the first gig. During the tour Brian May contracted Hepatitis and Ian Hunter, lead singer of Mott caught Flu resulting in both having to cancel some gigs. If you listen to the words you can hear the line "Down in the city just Hoople and me" The "Now I'm here" line being repeated and swapped between left and right is reference to them being sent almost coast to coast. Incidentally Ian Hunter wrote a book about the tour called "Diary Of A Rock 'n' Roll Star" which was published as written, spelling mistakes included. It's said to be the most accurate depiction of a rock band on tour in the 70s.

Mott the Hoople had been the best rock band in the middle of beatles and queen. And queen learned a lot touring with them. Mick ralphs penned some of the most lovely guitar riffs. Rock and roll queen, the all the young dudes solo intro, cant get enough, ready for love, roll away the stone, etc.

Live they absolutely killed this song, this is for Roger as he said himself the most exhausting song to play on Drums, but its so understandable of the way they play it live. So impressive and amazing, and in my opinion Live better than the studio version. I like the Live at the Rainbow and Hammersmith performance but *especially* Live at Wembley 1986, so much energy. Stone Cold Crazy is another banger from this album. Can't wait for lap of the gods too Roger's high notes are so Angelic. Great reaction.

Another great reaction! This is a song that is just always better live, a great and underrated live version is Now I Here live at the Hammersmith Odeon 1979, and of course the Wembley 1986 version.

Found you two through BTS, but being a huge fan of Queen myself, so delighted to see these reaction videos!!! My favorite album is Queen II but SheetHeart Attack was the first one I bought. Now I’m Here was the opening song of their live, it was stunning! Lighting, make up, costumes, everything was just mesmerizing . Anyway, I shall keep checking your reaction vids!! Btw, Roger Taylor just finished his UK tour with his band -which he doesn’t play drums- he still rocks!

At high school i asked the teacher "i can't translate ...down in the city just Hoople and me.. what Hoople means?" Later i got a book that explained Hoople was Mott the Hoople. I bought the mth greatest hits and after few piano notes of All the way from Memphis i became a mott/hunter/ralphs/ronson fan. You should try a video reaction at some mott the hoople/Ian Hunter/bad company songs
