An interesting video would be using bad t3s or even strong T2 characters and seeing how far 22% can carry them compared to what casual players have access to. Basically, how many more levels does the 22% give somebody like Nimrod or Spiderman. Knowing if a character can do an extra dozen levels thanks to pierce could be very helpful for people who gear up characters based on personal favs and not meta.

@Cynicalex Yes pierce doesn’t make any character good, however, especially since now that Alex has 22% pierce and (I think it is fair to say that a lot of us) won’t have this much pierce for a long time, we can no longer take his and a lot of other content creators videos about reworks at face values. This makes pre update testings( which Alex is already doing) all the more important because we can see how much the uniform changes a character in the same conditions. For example the new iron man uni is better than the endgame one when both testings are done under 14% pierce, than it makes sense that the same ratio would be seen under 0% pierce. So this is not as much as a suggestion to do something as a suggestion not to stop doing the pre update testings and to keep referring to to those testing and the differences as it would be useful for all players.

I don’t understand what this means... pierce only give more damage to the character, human torch with no pierce still got an amazing buff, giving him high pierce just boosts the damage. I for example have 2% pierce, and Alex’s video almost match up with mine perfectly. He clears stage 29 with SG, and I clear stage 10-11. Obviously he will clear higher stages because his cards and pierce but it doesn’t automatically mean that pierce make the character godly.

I think you can agree with me that a majority of players/viewers wouldn’t have as much pierce as people like Alex or Godzillanator. At the same time, because they are content creators, people look to them for advice on which new uniforms to buy etc. For example if they are only showing that human torch has a lot of damage on their account, it doesn’t tell the viewers how good the uniform because Alex’s account is much better, there could be confounding variables like pierce, uru, type enhancement, ctp etc. However, if there is a comparison between the old and new in the same conditions, for example in a 22% pierce condition the new uni is 50% faster than the old one, (the rest of the build and team is the exact same in both conditions), this should translate to a 0/low pierce account making it easier for viewers to know how good the uniform is regardless of build and cards. Basically what my original comment was trying to say was to tell Alex not to stop doing pre update tests as they are very useful for all viewers.

But if you do an actually proper test with no trolling you will see that a character like hulkling while obviously being unable to do stage 99 , he will do at least 40 or 50 plus stages than his normal with that much pierce 🙃. your hulking will be doing the same stage that my moon knight can barely do as a f2p with little to no pierce🙁. When I finally got 2% pierce last week, my characters' damage obviously become higher, but of course the damage are all relying on buffs the character have, the only characters I know who are quite excellent with only a few buffs on their skills are Sharon Rogers and Luna Snow, they don't have so many buffs on their own but still can dominate 😅😅

Pierce is essentially an element or part of the ENDGAME experience. Content like highlevel Knull and Mephisto are the area where Pierce is a must. But its an ENDGAME path , so if you newplayer or intermediate and felt your level of content didnt really need Pierce , well it kinda doesnt matter yet. Thats why every Alex's character showcase video always having him scaling to Knull , Mephisto , Stage 99 , DRX etc. Cause hes an Endgame player.
