Huzzah! Part 2 is finally here! I wasn't originally planning to get this up on Rokushi Day at first but I figured it might actually be relevant, so here we are :D Just like the first part, I went back into data greeting and redid the whole video to make it new-ish and up-to-date with my recent works, since this story is originally from 2021 (and it was originally a comic before I turned it into a video, like a few of my other stories)..... also, I forgot how cheesy this story was xD
And a big thank you to those who voiced the characters for this project, as well as ‪@mochabites‬ for helping me out! Everyone did great!

bit late, I do love this as it's far beyond cute... but I have to ruin it because I'm way too much a nerd, especially for Kingdom Hearts stuff... both of them are Sora... I know, they have their own identities and whatnot, but they both stem from and exist because of Sora... at best, they are technically the same person and at worst they would technically be siblings... either way, not a relationship I'm particularly fond of because I think just a little too hard... I do love what you did though, the voices were amazing, and all the other details really got to me

Xion was just made as a blank Replica with the sole purpose to copy the ability to wield a Keyblade. She is not Sora. She also didn't directly come from Sora. What you see at the beginning of Days was quite literally what she was created to be, a mindless and faceless puppet with neither identity nor sense of self, with the only goal to copy the Keyblade. They inserted/uploaded/whatever a copied piece of Sora's memory into the Replica body they already created, yes, but that was literally all. Not enough to give or tie her to an identity, not enough for a sense of self even. Just enough to link her to the Keyblade in some way. Even then, the "Replica no.i" technically existed and could gave continued to exist without Sora. The whole project would have probably developed differently in ways we can only hypothesize about, but the Replica itself didn't need Sora. The way Xion developed was partly influenced by Sora's memories (hence why her true appearance looks similar to Kairi) make no mistake, but that's all they were, an influence. She is quite literally her own unique person. You are not thinking "just a little too hard" about it, you have simply just misunderstood Xion's existence, which, unfortunately, isn't as uncommon as it should be, but oh well, here you go. edit: (If we were to be absolutely accurate about it, then Roxas isn't straight up Sora either. He's Sora's Nobody. His "other half". But he also got influenced by Ven's heart inside Sora and both of them can basically be called his "true forms", hence why he fainted in C.O that one time, because he was getting too close to one of them. Roxas also just existed separately from Sora and even existed at the same time as him for a while. He didn't even have his memories and thus developed completely as his own person. So yeah, while he is "Sora's Nobody" or "Sora's other half", it's incorrect to say that he "is Sora". There are nuances to this topic that can't just be tossed aside like that. The only thing he had from Sora was his body and Keyblade, or I guess it would be more accurate to say that he had his body essence, which isn't a thing anymore in the present, since he has his own Replica body now.)

@@skape6499 you're right that she didn't physically originate from Sora, like Roxas did for example, but her development is very tied to Sora still Xion didn't just have copies of Sora's memories, she had those very same memories in her, more specifically his memories of Kairi, which is why she goes from a blank slate she started as to looking like her those memories weren't just taken though, she integrated them into herself, her essence of being itself was so muddied, Namine, who's whole thing was memories, couldn't pull it apart without destroying what made her who she is, eventually making her into a better Nobody to Sora than Roxas was Xion even has the ability to dual wield, as seen during that big battle in Days, obtained because she was also unknowingly taking Roxas's powers, powers that were made because of Sora you are right that it's not completely accurate to say that Roxas, Xion, Namine, and Vanitas are all "Sora" but the first three names given are all born from Sora in some way, which if you stop to think about with everything established, their hearts, the KH equivalent to a soul, they are at least somehow related to each other... and as a bonus, Vanitas even calls Ven his brother, which considering their connection, similar logic could probably be applied for how they think of Sora

As I mentioned already, those memories influenced her when she absorbed them, yes, but she also had her own heart and memories. It wasn't her entire essence that was muddled, only the memories were, as Namine said and Xion gave up those memories when she died. They returned to Sora and what was left was Xion. The very fact that Xion even exists as herself in KH3 without any of Sora's memories already proves that the existence of Xion isn't completely tied to Sora's memories, that those aren't a core to her being. They've grown their hearts of their own separate from the others. The growth of their hearts is obviously influenced by their connections and experiences, and since Xion's heart, much as she herself, wasn't "born from Sora", it is completely her own, shaped by her experiences and connections, most notably, her bond with Roxas and Axel. Yes, Sora's memories shaped her as well to some degree, but that doesn't mean anything more than that, it's just one piece of the puzzle that is Xion. Of course both Roxas and Xion are connected to Sora in some way, but that's nothing unusual. Connections are a big part of Kingdom Hearts and don't inherently make people related in the way that you're insinuating. Just because Vanitas calls Ven his "brother" doesn't mean that they are actual brothers. Vanitas is part of that whole ancient darkness stuff in some way after all, so no way they are literal brothers. Plus, the games have never even remotely tried to have Roxas and Xion see Sora as a brother or something like that. In the "The story before KH3" book, they have this whole character correlation chart and Roxas and Xion, together with Axel, are defined as being best friends, and that's the relation between the three. Xion even has an arrow going towards Sora that only says "Absorbs Memories and Abilities (Returns them later)", because yeah, that's what she did, that's the extend of it. I'm gonna be blunt here: There is no use further discussing this. We know all those things. All the informations are out there and there is no need to read anything into them more than what we're literally told by the games and other official material, just to, to quote you: "ruin it". There is quite literally no point to this. Roxas is Roxas Xion is Xion Sora is Sora This right here, is what it comes down to. That's the story as it has been told. Again, they are connected, yes, but not related biologically (at least Xion isn't, because, again, she was made in a lab as an empty puppet. Plus, in regards to Roxas' and Sora's relation: We literally can't tell, because the concept of Nobodies doesn't exist in our world. Roxas is his "other self", but there is nothing we can relate that to irl, so any speculation and interpretation on that is pointless unless the series ever explores all that itself). Ok, what I'm trying to tell you is the following: As the story has been told and conveyed to us, there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING wrong with shipping Roxas and Xion together. They're NOT the same person, they are NOT Sora. Roxas and Xion are Roxas and Xion, that's it. Additionally the game never treated them in relation to each other or Sora as siblings. Roxas and Xion are only ever described as best friends. That is what the series wants us to think about them. They had around 15 years time at this point to specify anything else for them, but they never even remotely did. There is literally no reason to obscure something like that and cause misunderstanding and the like. It's not even like Kingdom Hearts doesn't have any actual siblings. We have Lauriam and Strelitzia, who are described as being actual siblings. The concept exists in Kingdom Hearts, and when it isn't applied to two already existing characters, then labeling them as such is straight up wrong at this point. It's completely made up. While I don't think the following part matters too much since I can't look into the writers brains and I don't know what informations they have, so feel free to ignore this entirely, but: Roxas/Xion is a fairly popular ship at this point, and while I heavily doubt Nomura and the staff involved in Kingdom Hearts care much about all this shipping business (apart from shipping their games of course), BUT you gotta figure that they're at the very least aware, to some extend, about some of the more popular ships, and I'm pretty sure that if the vision for Roxas and Xion was something that would make the ship even remotely "weird", they'd have done something about it (again, it's been 15 years!!) Ok, let me get to the point (again): At this moment (and I'll of course eat my words if that ever changes), there is nothing weird about Roxas/Xion. Anything you could say to make it weird is just not canon, since there is no canon lore that would make it weird and any interpretation of the lore that could make it seem weird, just like what you're talking about, is just that, an interpretation, not canon until official material supports those claims. Now, the reason why I'm telling you this, is to try and make you aware of what you did and why I'm taking my time explaining all this. You opened up this video, either knowing or not knowing it would contain Roxas/Xion content, watched the video (I assume, since you praise it) and then wrote a comment in which you, in your first sentence, already say that you "have to ruin it", and then wrote your comment, meant to "ruin it", and relied on a non canon interpretation to spread discomfort in the comments of a video that presents Roxas/Xion in a delightful project on which people have actively worked to edit/voice/write and just generally create this video. Now, it is beyond me to judge if spreading discomfort and such was your intention or not. I can't read your mind after all, BUT what I do know is that you wanted to "ruin it", as per your own comment, and THAT, I'm sorry to say is really not great, to put it mildly. The fact that your interpretation, which was meant to support your claim, is not canon and thus wrong aside, you actively chose to leave this kind of comment where it could obviously "do harm", where it could create discomfort and annoy people. You didn't have to write all that in your comment. If you want to praise the end product and the work that flowed into it, then just do that and leave it at that. There was no need at all to write the rest of your comment. It was completely unnecessary. I am truly sorry if I came across as passive aggressive or something like that. I'm sorry if I was overly harsh or anything, but please, and I say this sincerely, please understand that this kind of comment can not just be annoying, but also hurtful to some. Let me open myself up for a bit, just a little in regards to this specific topic: I truly love this pairing. Roxas and Xion are both, my favourite characters across all media (with and without shipping them) and also the only ship I'm invested in. Both the characters and the ship are things I take great comfort in when I'm happy, when I'm in a "normal" mood, but also, and especially, when I feel down, which, admittedly isn't as rare as I'd like it to be. However, no matter how down I am, I can find comfort in the things I really like, and those two characters and the ship happen to be very high on the list of the things that can cheer me up. I know it might sound ridiculous to some that something like this can have such a strong emotional connection for me, that I take comfort in a relationship betwen two fictional characters, that I can feel irritated and hurt when someone says something against all that, but it is what it is. That's me and I feel no shame in all that, we all gotta find our own things that help keep us above water, especially mentally. I don't want to guilt trip you by saying all that, by being all "this all hurt me and now I'm sad" or anything like that. I just want you to understand how unnecessary that kind of comment was, because, in the end, it didn't contribute anything good. As I said, your interpretation remains your interpretation, something that is not canon at this moment, and so we're left with a non canon interpretation against "something" in a comment section that, like the video itself, likes that "something". This is a place where this kind of comment can only do one single thing, and it's the thing you announced you would do with it, to "ruin it".
