Most people here are overlooking the material it is made of. It's not canvas, or wood, it is a high grade material with double layers to insulate. The outside is aluminum that won't rust and you can keep it outdoors all year round as it is sealed tight. Not too mention the superior flooring, bedding, storage and utilities. You get what you pay for!

For the people saying this is too expensive for what it is, what are some alternatives that are the same size and weight? From my research, this is one of the only towable trailers that 1) is 1500 lbs or less, 2) can fit into a parking garage stall, and 3) sleeps 5+ people. Are there other options out there?

This is like most other cool RVs I see today. It looks like something you could enjoy with all the right features. Then you get all interested and possibly think about buying one. Then you check the price. Then you dig your trusty dome tent out of the shed again and toss it in the truck and think of all the money you just saved that you can now travel and explore with.

It is a high price, but people are spending insane amounts of money for overlanding SUVs like the Jeep gladiator. This thing looks like it was made to trail behind one of those. People will buy it, especially if it fits in the average garage.

With some negotiation you should expect to get 20% - 30% off MSRP. So if MSRP is $28,500 - 25% = $21,375. Most smaller trailers have a following that keeps the resale prices high.....

This might be perfect for my family. We enjoy tent camping and are looking at going to an RV. Problem is there are 6 of us which makes finding a tow vehicle that is capable of pulling a good size RV but also fits all of us comfortably a bit of a challenge. This could be pulled by our minivan and stored in the garage. But for $25 to $30K I’m just not sure that would be that much better than our tents.

Check out a TrailManor. Can be pulled by a minivan with a 3500lbs tow rating and lots of sleeping room. Also with the folding hitch, it can fit into any standard garage at 18ft long. The 2518KB has the most sleeping room.

WOW!!! Super impressive. I have been camping from tent to RV and combos in between and NEVER seen the innovation and head space packed into this. The price point is phenomenal. 2022 - It ranges from $18k-$25k, It doesn't require a big truck (an additional $40k-$OofK), or a truck at all, to tow it, and you can store it in most garages rather than having to pay for storage. While this isn't for everyone, you have got to admit this opens up camper comfort for a lot of people who wouldn't have access before.

I've got a 12 man tent, with a Mr buddy heater when I need it, I haul it in my kayak in the bed of my truck. Paid less than $ 150.00 at academy 15 years ago for it. Still holding up strong, been in all kinda weather with it. Still no leaks are holes in it. Good luck saleing those for 30 k I'd buy a four wheel camper and set in on my truck. Hell for 12 k you can get the model m with a king size bed. Which I think is overpriced but it's also all aluminum frame. Yeah good luck with this tent.

Very interesting Where does everything in that goes in side go - so not only do you need to set up but also carry everything from the tow vehicle to put inside then back again. Ok I guess if you staying longer periods but not something you would want to use if you are doing long trips and stopping each night. Cheers

I see everyone flipped at the cost but honestly it's what these low production light weight units go for. The cricket trex you see in the background has a big following and they cost around $28-30K new. What confuses me is this niche market relies 100% on the adventure hipster club yet that the trailer doesn't look rugged and ground clearance is just average. So what you have is a trailer that really isn't suited for campgrounds and not really designed to be bounced around on off-road trails. The biggest design flaw is usability, minimal storage and no access to the storage it does have in travel. So you have a small car/SUV to pull this thing everything you need is shuttled from car to trailer and back again each time you move and that assumes you have the space in the car to begin with.

That's a pretty sweet camper for sure. And he's right, a medium sized four wheeler could easily pull that thing. I know I worked on a Family Friend's Cherry Orchard and they had special trailers designed to pull the big bins of cherries through the narrow rows of the orchard and they would weigh upwards of 1,500 pounds and we'd tow them down the road a couple miles at 20-30 mph pretty easy. And they've lasted 10+ years doing that, even after crashing a couple times lol. So yeah that thing would be really cool to have. And I hate to be that guy, but 20-30k for one? I'm sure once they start selling a bunch of them and can get their manufacturing processes down and buy in more bulk to bring the price down it'll help. But, if cost wasn't an issue I would give them a 12 out of 10 stars for their design and features and ability to literally take it anywhere you want. Here in Montana, there's a lot of ATV only trails that this thing would be perfect to take on and go be away from all humans for a couple days or weeks. One thing, if he's reading this, is if you want to market it to people for four wheelers and side by sides, maybe look into a way to attach a couple gas cans on one of your side racks or something for extra fuel so if someone wants to go spend a week out in the woods they can have maybe 15 extra gallons on them at a time. Also, you have to think, how great would this thing be in a zombie or end of the world apocalypse? Just hook up with a side by side or four wheeler and go out in the middle of no where with a solar panel and no one will ever find you if you're smart about it. I'm gonna have to go steal one of these if zombies come, lol.

People who are offroading/overlanding are going to be fine bringing a tent or sleeping in their jeeps/trucks with portable sinks and stoves. A Prius owner won't spend 30k on this - a Tesla owner might, but they're just going to get a Class C or buy a converted van. That's my two cents - and I live in an RV full time - around this stuff a lot. Cool product, but not for that price.
