Michael has mentioned that Diego does it just to show off, but also because he has serious food aggression. I think what happened was Enzo took Diego's food from him, and that made Diego very angry and they got into a fight. But since Enzo is the alpha male, Diego didn't stand a chance. Now, anytime someone steps close to his food, he shows aggression as if to say "No, this is MY FOOD!"

Also I truly believe the innate fear humans have of the dark is due to being predated upon by big cats throughout evolution.

And I once fed an old tiger, and his strength when he tore a lump of meat proffered in a stick went right through me. And playing with tiger or lion cubs is sheer bliss. So playful, so strong and so cuddly they are.
