That was an awesome fire. Maybe not the biggest, tallest, whatever but very satisfying. Love seeing the farm, Chris. You guys have a beautiful place there.

The only problem with Chris having a fire is that he needs a long-reach excavator to keep his equipment from melting. Just a little more giblets won't hurt. 10 minutes later, "Damn, that's hot!"

Fire is amazing when you think about it. You start with many tons of solid material, and it turns more or less into dust. It seems to defeat that conservation of energy thing, and as Star Trek's Scotty used to say, 'Ye Cannae Change the Laws of Physics'.

I used to be a firefighter and for training we burned old buildings they couldn’t get this old barn to light so I made my own mixture when it literally it blew the sides off and roof fell but the fire out I was banned from lighting any more lol

I saw a farm neighbor once use this method to burn a stump - He took a steel Wheel from a tractor trailer or loader ( 10 studs or more ), torched out the center leaving just the outer steel rim circle. He then put it over/around the oak stump, that he had drilled some holes in, dossed the stump with fuel and set it on fire. The rim contained it and could also be used as a low burn barrel.

My neighbor across the road cleared 3 acres around his house. Made 3 big piles of timber to burn. I helped to save some hardwood for fire wood in my house. One late evening he set one stack on fire. The flames reached 50 feet. The next thing you know, the firemen showed up, put the fire out and told him not to do that again. I have to admit, it was mighty dry in upstate South Carolina this fall.

An old sheet of tin roofing helps keep the heat reflected and the fire will follow the tin. I like to have the burn pile ready with several sheets of tin waiting on the rain . Get your fire going and the pile will burn to the ground under the tin. After many fires the tin will finally deteriorate but it really helps I realize you are dealing with piles so it might not be practical

Chris you sure do know how to get a hot fire going. That looked like a very hot one for sure. Remember not to leave the excavator to close to the fire for too long of a time. I remember in a previous video that the heat actually crack the window on the excavator that you were using at the time.

Good day, Chris have used a blower on occasion, I recall an ocurrance where the blower was in a trench blowing at the fire in a hole, and the excavator caught on fire due to embers "raining" down on the engine compartment and setting some leaves on fire which scorched some electrical wiring of the excavator.
