This was the 90s, too. A lot of us were conditioned to go along and behave like this based upon attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors imparted or experienced in our upbringings starting with Big Mama. She knew Big Daddy had a whole ‘mother family across the railroad tracks and didn’t leave him. We didn’t know to seek therapy to shed this stuff. I didn’t know until I reached grad school and had my eyes awaken and set free.

I love how you called out Lisa and Nadine for doing the most for their men. Dre definitely is dealing with some internal issues forreal. Jennie was wrong for calling the women Dre deals with out of their name as if she’s better than them. You are absolutely correct, everyone gets treated the same by men like Dre. All of the women he dealt with had something going for themselves. Katrina is the GOAT. She took one for the team.
