This is my favorite segment on your channel, it's a genius concept in my opinion. Call me old-fashioned but there is no soul in a lot of music these days, no ingenuity. Even Pop songs by artists like Britney Spears 15-20 years ago had more "umph" to it.

This is one of my favorite movies. I love how it’s telling two love stories of Sydney and Dre and their love affair with the music. I think the poetry is part of what’s missing from the music which of course requires more thought than just figuring out what lyrics go together. It’s speaking what’s in one’s heart as opposed to what’s popping right now. And that scene where Syd and Dre bust Reese in that restaurant will forever live rent free in my head! 😂

I Love allllllll of your NTWG videos! You’re so talented Bondy! Thank you for your content. I haven’t watched Brown Sugar in years and I lowkey forgot how the movie went. You was able to create a clear picture of the movie so well that it feels like I just watched it again. You’re amazing and I wish you continued success in all of your endeavors ❤❤

I just watched this movie after the best man. I love the hip hop element and their chemistry. When he is whispering to Sydney on the phone after the date, gets me every time. I love mos def 😍. I can't even place when I fell in love with hip hop. It's always been in my life.

I feel in love with hip hop when Missy Elliot(my favorite rapper) The rain (supa dupa fly) came on the radio. I still remember the first time I heard it. We were in the car in our drive way at home. My older brother turned it on. The 1st hip hop cd I bout with my own money was Lauryn Hills the miss education of Lauryn Hill. Before that in middle schoo my mom took us to the music store to buy us our 1st cds. I got Da brat’s Unrestricted. My sister got let there be Eve. Both were in heavy rotation for me. I still listen to eve’s 1st album.

Dre was not talking about the Demo he was talking about the relationship with each other. Through out the movie hip hop has been the metaphor for them and he was asking Sydney to give them a try. He was pressing up against her for her to give in to her feelings.

Dre was definitely being sarcastic with that girl is mine remake, making the statement how trash artist take an old hit and ride it to fame. And his boss instantly saw $$$ signs. But when in the studio that was Dre's breaking point.

Taye Diggs has the worst proposal in movies. In The Best Man he did the guilt proposal at Lance & Mia’s wedding reception. Fun Fact: Larenz Tate was offered the role of Dre & he turned it down.
