Don't always assume that if some bling thats Gold- colored STICKS to the Magnet- then its NOT Gold! Only PURE Gold will NOT stick to a Magnet. Most Jewelry made of Gold is NOT 24Kt PURE Gold! Having said that, many Magnet Fishers find Gold jewelry discarded by Robbers/ Thieves; (usually home invasion type discarded items). The Thieves take ALL the Jewelry in the heist, then quickly sort thru it;c(often mistakenly tossing what they deem as "Tat" or Costume jewelry into the lakes, Rivers, Canals, etc. This is how YOU benefit from THEIR mistake! The U.S. Hallmarks are simply; 24kt, 14kt, 10kt & .925= Sterling Silver. England's Sterling Silver is the Walking Lion Hallmark, the Standing Lion is Glasgow's, the Thistle Hallmark for all made in Edinburgh, the Crowned Harp is the Sterling silver Hallmark for Dublin, and the image of Brittania for standard silver.😊Great video!
