however, in the end, there is one big monarch and that's youtube. moreover, there are many production houses who could market themselves well, and now they are in a better position, many artists who were very talented, did not get the same fame as per those, who were hired by big production houses.

I agree with this! It's true, tech are the 'monarchs'- but the creators are a key role-player in that and the business modle works for us. And big production companies still have a lot of sway, but compared to 40 years back, there was no chance of getting a record made and marketed without a record company. Today you dont need them (like you have a chance)- but if you do team up with them, it's also a good move but ver few will get that opportunity.

Instantly subscribed. Very well-structured! Thank you. I came to the same realization at the end of last year, so I started my KZbin channel thinking it could be a place where I can talk about anything. However, I increasingly see that to make it easier for the algorithm, it's better to focus on one topic in one format. What are your views on that?

Thanks so much for supporting. Means a lot! Certainly- you need to be consistent on topic- even if its fairly broad. As you say, because it will help the algorithm know who to put you in front of but more importantly will also keep your audience coming back. It's unlikely your audience has the same diverse interests as you- so half the videos might not resonate. And yes- it's easier to do high quality over time stuff practising one format and becoming expert in a specific topic.

Hey man, I enjoyed the video but couldn’t help but feel that a major gatekeeper was left out. The algorithms. Do you think social media is promoting content on the merit of its quality or on how well it fits the existing content on the platform? What happens to originality when the algorithm doesn’t show it to anyone?

It's certainly tricky with the algorithms. But I dont't view them as the gatekeeper, really they are enablers. They figure out how to put your in front of the right audience- regardless of quality of contnet. There are so many users, it will find its niche. It's essentially a marketing tool. I do think over time the algorithm helps build the audience- but virality is the exception. I would say it's worth figuring out business models not dependent on mass views. Sell to a smaller more bought in audience and limit the dependency on consistently needing big reach.
Why we can't focus.
