The thing about Cymanti that people don’t understand is that it’s a very aggressive and expansion oriented tribe. Hexapods are quick, hard hitting units that are ideal for taking out weaker units and are very good at closing the gap between them and ranged enemy units. This combined with the escape ability makes Cymanti a very slippery tribe that allows them to expand quickly and get away with a lot of things in the early game if used optimally. However, if you do manage to close the gap between you and a hexapod with something like a rider or a knight, hexapods are unable to defend themselves due to their low defense and low hp. The Doomux cover this weakness by being tankier than their hexapod counterparts, but are way more expensive and can put much more of a strain on Cymanti’s economy. Ranged Cymanti units like Phychi and Exidas have the poison ability, which allows them to weaken tankier enemy units and allow the heavy hitters like Doomux, Hexapods, and Centipedes to kill opponents much easier. But a major disadvantage they have is that they do not retaliate when attacked, which hinders Cymanti‘s ability to defend further. Centipedes can be strong, but can only be as strong as how many units they kill. Coordinated fire can easily shut down a centipede, and disallowing the enemy centipede from killing as many units as possible facilitates this. Shamans can boost friendly units instead of healing them, which allows units to be even stronger than they already are. Cymanti as a whole is a tribe that is centered around momentum, and while this makes them very strong when playing offensively, they are not very good when they reach a stage where they cannot expand further. When they are no longer able to keep rolling the enemy, they are forced to resist more pressure from oncoming units. Because of the way the individual units and the tribe as a whole is designed, Cymanti cannot take as much pressure as the other tribes can. Riders and knights close the gap between them and the more slippery units, Phychi and Exidas cannot defend themselves from their opponents ranged units, Shamans cannot heal units, and Cymanti has no access to naval units other than Raychi. People keep complaining about how Cymanti is too strong and needs to be nerfed, but honestly, I feel like they just need to change the way they approach playing against Cymanti. It’s really just a matter of producing more than the bugs can destroy and overwhelming them. Cool video btw! I always watch them to the end.

Actually Exida can retaliate against ranged units. They shoot back against all attackers and an upgraded Exida shoots back against Catapults. Psychi are the one hit wonders. I've found that rushing Philosophy is typically the better choice when I play Cymanti. Today I played 6 matches, lost 1 won 5 rushing Philosophi. The one match I did lose, villages spawned in so far away from my base. By the time I captured my 3rd village it was already too late. The other matches I had 4 to 5 other cities besides my main and they were all always equal in level to each other caise that's how I leveled them. Most Cymamti players rush hexipods or rush 2 level 5 cities for supers but those stratigies lose in endurance matches unless they can successfully apply pressure. I learned the hard way to use this stratigy, facing off against too damn many €lŷrïôŋ.

26:57 "We can produce wayy more units than they can kill" *Russian anthem intensifies* Even funnier that it's polaris so it fits the "Russian winter" trope well Not to mention the "comeback" trope
